Jim Butterfield pased away this year, here is a copy of the memorial service program. One might say this was Jim's last program. ;) (I know Jim would laugh at that!) Jim left behind a gift for Jeri Ellsworth that she was honored to receive, along with it he left a letter to her describing the gift that was laced with Jim's great sense of humor. We missed Jim at ECCC this year, he'll always be missed.

Jeri put together a strobe-light with a 300baud modem with some quick hardware magic - and Leif supplied some code to have the thing flashing for his Artillery Duel game, and eventually to music. Very neat.. the finished unit looked polished even. I think "New Guy" Greg went home with the unit.

I'll have to upload the videos of this. Not as funny as the cat, but still was very cool. Leif (and I) were terrified that the thing would blow up all his pretty and expensive carts.
Laser Squad
Jason and I played the closest Laser Squad game we have ever played

Jason and I played this really long game of Laser Squad this year. It was great to play him since we often talk about playing at the show but never seem to get around to it. The game got to a point where I had 1 guy left, but was 1 point away from winning for what seemed like forever. It was a very very close game.
