I wanted to say that I got a laptop, but I couldn't find any thread to put it in. So, talk all you want about your newly acquired electronics and such.  I don't know all that much about computer specifics, but it's a TravelMate 210T circa 2001 and has a 10g hard disk. In my defense, I only payed $60 for it in perfect working order at a school auction. Also, it doesn't have an ethernet port. I was in shock when I first realized it. |

For 60 bucks, that's quite a good deal. Buying things from schools is the way to save!
Ummm...I haven't gotten anything new recently. Wait another....checks calendar...1 month, 12 days, 3 hours, 56 minutes, and 7 seconds.

Good topic idea... On saturday I got a viewsonic n2635w  Some general specs: 26" inch LCD display, up to 1080i resolution, VGA, cable, composite (RCA), component YPbPr/YCbCr, S-video, and HDMI ports. So pretty much I can use it as a TV and a monitor. |

I hope this Christmas to acquire a new camera lens and a real flash for my camera. My next big technology purchase will probably be some sort of HD TV after my wedding. I probably won't be getting it right away after the wedding, but I forsee that being my next major purchase. |

I probably won't be getting it right away after the wedding, but I forsee that being my next major purchase. Sweet, Nifty Fifty. I bought a DSLR and I bought the canon 50mm f/1.8 for it. |

Lucky dog. Had I any spending cash right now I'd go out and purchase this immediately. It would work perfect for the basketball games the school paper has me shooting now. That f/1.8 would do fantastic shooting inside the gym- with that I wouldn't have to shoot at a 1600 ISO. The season will continue after Christmas, but of course I will have graduated, and no longer be taking photos for them. Oh well, I will still get plenty of use out of that lens anyway. |

Congrats! I don't pretend to be an expert on computers or what many of those "specs" mean, but it's always good to get a new computer!
Thanks, yeah I copied and pasted the specs off of a website, so even though I know what they mean, I could've left most of them out.  |
