2008 Fiesta Bowl
« on: January 03, 2008, 01:10:59 am »

My boys from WVU cleaned house this evening.  They lost their coach, their best rusher, and nobody believed (myself included), but tonight is a very good night to be Mountaineer.

I realize that this post won't see the light of day, but I needed my 2:00 AM shoutout.  The interim coach is from a little town in WV that is only 15 miles where my family is from.

May you have much joy of him, especially when he gets severely angry with an opposing coach and puts your bruising fullback BACK in in the 4th to batter the lines again, and the resultant knee injury to said fullback keeps you from winning your conference because his running system is entirely based on blocking backs.

I'm not bitter, and yes, Schmitt is indeed that good.

Right now, I'd rather see that than the old 'Thee Yards and a Cloud of Dust' that I've been watching for the past 15 years.  Bo-style football had its time in the sun, but it's time for Michigan to change.

That's very true.  The Big Ten "I" or die is not as competitive as it was.
