Well, someone had to make it. For all those Americans here, feel free to discuss the upcoming elections and...cauci(?), as we countdown to November 4, 2008!

Being a non voting minor, I don't give a crap about elections. Nor do I watch the news to know about their campaigns.
But If I had to choose someone, it would most likely be Obama.

This past Tuesday was the Michigan primary. Me and my mom voted for Huckabee; my dad for Romney.
As long as Hilary doesn't win, I'm okay.
Well, okay. Or Guiliani. Though, considering he only has 4 delegates right now, I don't think he'll be much competition.

Hilary. *shudders*
Yes. Anyone but her. Please. It barely affects me, but please no. Yes, you guys need a female president in your history. But just not her.
Then again, I guess you can't really get any worse off than you are right now.

I'm entering that incredibly depressing slump of "I don't really like any of the winning candidates." Hillary is crushing the democrats, it seems, which I also agree is fairly upsetting. I was pretty fine with Bill, mind you, (though I was in 6th grade at the time) and yes, I think the sleepin' around thing was pushed way out of proportion considering how largely irrelevant it is to whether he's a good leader or not. However, it's an entirely different case with Hillary, IMO. The fact that she stayed with him throughout all that without even breaking her smile for a second proves beyond any doubt that she was clutching to the Clinton name for dear life to further her political career. Say what you will about Bush, but at least he believes in what he's doing. Hillary Clinton is a woman with no morals or beliefs, a dirty fighter who would probably stab her own child to get the presidency (then burst into fake tears).
Right now, I'm saying I'm an Edwards man, though he's not doing well compared to Clinton or Obama. Obama I'm okay with, but there's still enough about him that I'm just iffy with (mostly from the conservative part of me). On the Republican side there's really no clean cut winner right now, just as there's no clean cut candidate I particularly want to win. If I had to chose between McCain, Romney or Huckabee, I'd probably chose McCain, though there's still plenty about him I just don't care for. Romney seems too greasy and wishy-washy, akin to the reasons I didn't like Kerry, and I downright can't stand Huckabee, probably for a lot of the reasons Anakin voted for him (sorry man, y'know how it is).

I'd love to see that, but, um...good luck. On the Republican side, I'd love to see Ron Paul, but unfortunately, I don't see that happening. Of the frontrunners (Huckabee, Romney, Giuliani, McCain), my favorite would probably be Huckabee, though I really don't like any of them. As for the democrats, I agree completely with Teatime on the subject of Hillary. She just wants her family name to be in power again. She's horrible at answering questions, she fakes emotion to gather votes, and she seems very fake and full of empty promises. That whole healthcare thing? Good luck at that. I really like Obama's leadership, and I think he's probably the strongest candidate. He's a powerful speaker and a great personality. But the only the troubles me with Obama is: he doesn't seem like a good wartime president. I'm sure he'd perfect AFTER the war, but I'm unsure on how he'll handle the situation in the Middle East (though I'm pretty unsure on a lot of candidates). Though, my opinions don't technically matter until the 2012 election, so I'll just sit back and watch the madness.

*shrugs* Eh, no biggy. I'm not saying I'm a huge fan, as none of the guys on the Republican side really catch my attention. Huckabee's just the guy that I tend to be the most okay with. Although, Romney did win big in Michigan. He was born in Michigan, and he probably is the one guy that could turn the sorry state of our economy around (funny how the two Democrats I loathe the most, Hilary and Granholm are both women, not that that means anything). I guess if it was Romney, I'd vote for him.
Although, if it came down to McCain vs. Obama, or Guiliani against Obama (which, given how well Guiliani is doing right now, I highly doubt that), I'd most likely vote for Obama.
Honestly, I'm more looking forward to the Olympics this year. And the writer's strike, whenever it ends (Please be soon! Like...tomorrow? Or...Monday?).

Since I can't vote I'll express my good opinions here... I want Obama to win not just because of race but because I've looked at some of his issues and he seems the lesser of all the evils.

Huckabee is my #1 choice on the Republican side. I don't think he'll get the nod to be the Republican candidate, though. I'm not as big for Romney, but will probably wind up voting for him in November, if he's the Republican's choice for candidate. About the only way I'd vote for McCain is if he were running against Hill-Dog.If a Romney v. Obama election were to arise, I'm not sure who I'd wind up voting for.

I have no real preference, since I have barely researched anyone specifically. If, though, Huckabee remains come November, I might just vote for him. He cheated though, getting Colbert as his running mate. That's the entire 18-25 year old population right there...

Let's just say that, if Huckabee wins, I am so glad I'm already in college. Though that's only a slight comfort to the lurking horror.
