Wait, did he just get banned because you didn't like his opinion?
Not at all. Although I didn't agree with his opinion, I'd have no problem with him posting it. Only thing is, he couldn't do so while still showing respect to those he disagreed with. He had been warned about it before, so it's not like I blindsided him with my actions. Now, seeing that you haven't posted in many moons, I don't even really know why you give a crap about what I did...

Hamas recently gave Obama their support. Now, a few things that should be known about Hamas:
It has been labeled by the U.S., Israel, Canada, and Japan as a terrorist organization; is banned in the U.K., Jordan, and Australia, and is considered to be right behind Al-Queda in terms of a threat to the U.S.
Hamas is responsible for several suicide bombings, shelling and rocket attacks on civilians, and guerrilla warfare in Israel, especially along the Gaza Strip, and have called for attacks on America before. They also had a kid's program where a Mickey Mouse look-alike mimed aiming a rifle and encouraged kids to recite violent songs and poems about resistance.
And what's more, China has embraced Hamas.
As John McCain said, that's one political endorsement I wouldn't want, and I certainly don't want a President that has an endorsement from a terrorist organization.

John McCain said that? Talk about irony!

Um...what exactly are you implying in that? What, may I ask, is ironic about that? Bush is of the same party as McCain and McCain would naturally want the support of the current Prez who happens to be of the same party as him.
So, yeah, you're going to have to spell out what's ironic here about that.

Thing is, I don't know what you're implying. Hence my request that you spell it out.

1. McCain wouldn't want an endorsement from a terrorist organization 2. McCain got an endorsement from President Bush 3. I claim it's irony, thus, I claim that President Bush is...
Ah nevermind. The point is, I think an endorsement from Bush will have a negative effect, but who knows.

Yeah, heh, Anakin, it's generally assumed by most people that Bush is a terrible person. Most people who still support him have to keep that in mind Me, I'm halfway. I definitely don't think he's winding up to be one of the greatest presidents in history (sorry, Poke) but the amounts of hate some people give him is just ridiculous.

BHC, I honestly can't tell if you're just joking or if you're being serious about these things. Hating a President because he stumbles over words like a lot of other people do is like voting for Obama because he's black or voting for Clinton because she's a woman. It's just stupid. Recently, I heard that one of the cohosts of The View, who is black, is voting for Obama basically because he's black. That is the wrong reason to vote for someone. It should never be about race or something small and stupid like that.
And the fact is, McCain and Bush are of the same party, so McCain getting an endorsement from the topmost party member right now is huge. And McCain has made it clear that his term wouldn't be Bush's third term, but his own term.
I agree with Teatime. He's not one of our best Presidents, but he does get a lot of crap that he doesn't deserve.

To me it doesn't make any sense to distrust Obama because a untrustworthy group endorses him. It doesn't say anything about his own beliefs or plans or anything. It's not like he asked for their support, so why does it matter that they do support him?
As a side question, what are you (anakinjmt) implying when you say "What's more, China has embraced Hamas"? I mean, I'm not trying to be smarmy or anything, I'm just not sure why China supporting something is a bad thing.

If George W. Bush's bumbling speech problems were detrimental to him, they would've been fixed after his first speech.
But no, I'm fine with people making fun of him for being stupid or slow. In fact, it just bolsters my American pride when shows like Family Guy or South Park (American Dad specifically excluded, I prefer good shows) make fun of him, because there are so many places in the world where you can't do that. And that brings me to the subject of people who I feel view Bush as so much worse than he is. There are lots of people who seem to firmly believe that Bush is going to have Obama assassinated, declare marshall law, and seize the office of the presidency for life. Or that he orchestrated 9/11, launched cruise missiles into the WTC and Pentagon, in order to justify a war for oil. To those people, all I can really say is "uh huh. sure."
