Funny images but I thought that was the Super Mario Bros. 3 show because they didn't transform into flying raccoons in SMW.
Of course. What was I thinking.

Zelos, as soon as you described the shirt, I knew exactly which one you meant. My friend has that shirt, too, and I've always noticed that the colors are swapped... I guess I'm just one of those people, huh?

I have the same shirt, and it's so annoying. My parents bought it for me at the Nintendo Store in NYC, so I like wearing it to show them I like it. I hate it when people who I know for a fact know less about the Mario series than me point out that my Luigi is "turquoise." Thanks for that, semi-popular girl in the grade above me. Thanks.

I'm just giving you a +1 for your avatar.
Now I want that shirt just to see what people say about it.

Since my Guitar Hero rant on page two was so popular, they decided to dish out the funding for a sequel.
So, I was talking to this kid on my Warcraft server, and guitar hero came up. Out of the blue he mentions how much he hates people who think they know music because of bands they heard in Guitar Hero. Now, I didn't poke my head up or anything, but there are a ton of bands that I listen to now that I first started really listening to in Guitar Hero II or III. Lynyrd Skynyrd, Rush, Guns n Roses, Freezepop, Buckethead - I've gotten CDs from all these guys only after hearing and loving songs in Guitar Hero. But yeah, y'know what? I LIVE UNDER A ROCK WHEN IT COMES TO MUSIC. I've NEVER listened to the radio of my own volition - not once! - and even when it's on when other people nearby are listening, I'm not really paying attention. The -only- way for me to ever find out about a new band I might like is for someone to tell me about them, and guess what, each and every Guitar Hero game is essentially a gift wrapped package of ~40 bands I might really enjoy! So you're 13 years old and already know four times as many bands as I do? WHOOP DEE FREEKIN' DOO. If that's really what you use to measure your worth, then I'm truly sorry.

+1, dude. I'm more of a soundtrack guy myself, so I don't listen to the radio and hear new songs. I need to hear a song on TV, in a movie, or in a videogame before I get it.
BTW, Buckethead, Zelos's favorite band, is in Guitar Hero? Which one? I must have missed that song.

OK, first of all, Buckethead isn't a band, he's a guy, but I won't hold that against you because a lot of people make that mistake. And his song, "Jordan," was in Guitar Hero II, and it was infamous for being the hardest song in the game. Some people (including myself) think it is harder than Through the Fire and Flames. Here's a video of the chart, when it was finally full combo'd some months back: http://www.youtube.com/v/IAFpPQkGPV0&hl=en&color1=0x2b405b&color2=0x6b8ab6

I've never beaten Jordan but it's okay because I know how hard it is. I also haven't tried it in a really long time... ...that may have something to do with my inability. *cough*.

I love comics.
I don't know if you knew that (oh, of course you did!), but I really do. It's something that I've been into ever since I first started watching Spider-Man: The Animated Series on Fox Kids. I watched some episodes of Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series, and X-Men: The Animated Series, but something about Spider-Man: TAS just clicked with me. I think because no matter what, Spidey always kept fighting. Even when he lost everybody and nobody seemed to like him, he kept on fighting. I am so in a Spider-Man mood. I've got episodes of Spider-Man: TAS and Spectacular Spider-Man DVR'd, I just beat Ultimate Spider-Man again, I'm going to replay Spider-Man 2 and 3 when I get back from Boston, I'm bringing all three movies with me, I just bought the only season of The New Animated Series that aired on MTV in 2003, and I have a ton of Spider-Man music. I just love the character of Spider-Man. I truly think he is perhaps the best character ever created for fiction, comic or otherwise.

Okay, so I've been driving for a whopping 12 hours almost, so I've picked up a few things, basically the things you do all the time, but other little things I still need to understand.
Tonight was my first hour of night driving with my parents. Or should I say dad. He's the worst teacher ever.
My driver's ed teacher Mr. Nutter is always nice and he said he'll never raise his voice unless we're really in trouble. My dad is the opposite. Most of you have been driving for a while (You know who you are) so you know that most people like to take it a little slow. I'm getting better at going faster, but it's apparently not fast enough for my dad. Since it was night time and hard to see with all the shiny lights and stuff all over, I decided to go 5 mph slower than the speed limit and went between that a little lower for a while. My dad didn't approve. It's different at night. He wouldn't know. He's been driving for 30 some years. I've been driving for half a day. There's no wiki for me to pick up the lingo and stuff and when to do this and that so I've been winging it unless someone says otherwise. My dad likes to go "Stop stop stop stop" over and over when I need to stop and "Go go go go" when I need to go. I know when to go and stop jerkwad (I'm trying so hard not to swear). Saying a word over and over isn't going to make me go or stop faster. He still does it. It pisses me off.
Other than that, I keep telling him not to raise his voice, even though he says he's not, but he is. He is. He may not be yelling, but he's speaking loudly.
I'm still at the stage of using them as my own little nav system, so I don't know crap when it comes to getting around town. And even with my lights on in the dark, it's hard to tell where the corner is exactly. Yes, I can see the corner, but my depth perception is down to poo in the dark. My dad assumes I know everything there is about the road. Heck no I don't. Little things that are nice to know like, "You can tell where to stop by looking at the street light" would be nice to know beforehand, but he only tells me it way after I mess up. That is not good teaching. And he also overplays some things, like grabbing onto the chair tightly and some other crap like that. Oh yes, that makes me feel good.
I prefer my mom driving with me, since she is nicer. Way nicer. I've only driven with her once in the 12 hours I've been driving. She teaches me things the nice way, not the griping way. Unfortunately, she has to work most of the time, so she doesn't have time to drive me. I wish she did.
I'm still in the newbie stage or the "lolwat?" stage as some could call it. My teacher is saying I'm doing pretty good, just that I "hesitate" or take a bit too long to think. This all comes with experience, so he's gonna drive with me a bit longer next Thursday.
And now to vent off the rest of this steam. Time for a Mumorpuger.

Know what I hate? Spammers.
Big, idiotic, annoying spammers in Brawl. They ruin the entire match.
Biggest spammers are the Pikachu spammers. You know the ones. Down B every chance they get. Never using any other moves. Stealing KOs with relative ease. I hate them so much. The move is far too powerful for an otherwise crappy character (and that's not the hatred of pokemon talking). And if they ever do any moves besides Down B, it's Down A, twirling around, sucking everyone into the electric vortex, shooting them up, and then promptly doing Down B again. Luckily, pikachu spammers rarely win from what I see, sometimes even getting last. If they ever do win, I either sick Game & Watch on them, or be Wolf and reflect the lightning as it comes down (which not many people know about), so that when it strikes Pikachu, it hurts him.
And then there's the Zelda spammers. Enough with the fireballs! Please! It's range is too wide, it's speed is too fast, and it's power is too... powerful. Just use any other overpowered Zelda move and be a man... er... woman...
Pit's bow sucks.

First off, the thing that makes Zelda's Din's Fire so popular for spammers is not it's power, range, or speed, but it's duration, accuracy, and size of the animation. Due to how long and large the explosion is (not insanely big, but quite large for its accuracy), most players cannot time an air dodge to escape it and usually get knicked by the end of it, where most of the knockback is. It's even worse with large characters, as the Zelda player has a lot more room to work with and faking the player out, making the Dedede or Bowser player have a lot harder time to time the dodge. While on a character like pickachu or Ness, you have a lot less area of which the attack will actually hit. At least, that's what I've found.
Secondly, there are two types of spammers. Pure spammers and combo spammers (not actual names, making this up in my head). The pure spammers are what you describe: Those who successively use pit's bow, Pikachu's Thunder, Zelda's Din Fire, Lucario's Energy Ball, Snake's Missiles or grenades, Lucas' PK Fire, Kirby kamikazies, G&W's turtle, etc. These people use the same attack successively because it hard to avoid, has an easy access to damage, most of them have range (with the exception of the turtle), and they can do a large amount of damage in a little amount of time. Now, inexperienced players just do this because it is annoying and they don't know how to play, but a good player can master this single element of a character and become deadly with it.
I have to agree with you. Matches against these people are not pleasant. They are usually quite aggravating, but if you can work around your opponents, methods, play around with their minds so you can dodge their attacks a large percent of the time, you can defeat them fairly easily, as they don't know how to play the rest of their character.
Those who spam to combo, well, that's a different story. This is including things like chain grabbing and juggling. These are a lot harder to pull off, as you aren't focusing on one single aspect of the character to win the match, but having a strategy stored away in your pocket to rack up easy damage or get an easy kill if your opponent lets you. Say I am playing as Meta Knight. I use most of his attacks wisely and don't spam his tornado or B-over attack, in fact I rarely use them. But if I see an opening and I think my opponent is not expecting it, I'm not above Up aerial juggling an opponent when they are above mer until they fly off the screen. It's easy for them to get out of, but if the opponent does not expect it, you can get an easy kill out of it quick. Same with Chain Grabbing with Dedede and Lucario. Or spamming Lucario's Up-tilt to juggle them off the ground at low health. Doesn't mean that's all I do in a match. On the contrary, I sometimes will go an entire round without using any of those techniques. But I will spam an ability if the opportunity arises and is beneficial to me.
So, in short: Pure Spamming = BAD. Combo Spamming = GOOD.

I was just coming here to rant about that. I have a friend that beats me almost every time that I play Brawl, because he refuses to:
a) play with items b) play on any other stage besides Corneria c) use anyone besides Pikachu
And he spams the everloving crap out of Down+B and Down+A. I'm slowly learning how to beat him with both Game & Watch and Wolf though, so it's not as bad...but he's so good at spamming those two moves that I end up getting annoyed and throwing my controller out of the window after two matches.
