- Point and click adventures, while fun, are from the realm of SNES.

I'm not trying to be totally antagonistic here, I'm just trying to figure you out. But this game looks quite a bit better than a SNES game. And just because there weren't any P&C games on N64, doesn't mean modern ones should cost the same as SNES games.

That's what I'm saying. I'm saying $7 or $8 is an appropriate price (same as SNES). And while $2 isn't that much more, it's both the principle of the thing and the $2 x 5 episodes that add up.

Bottom line: I can get 30+ hours out of Paper Mario, or try forever to get a high score in Star Fox 64. But SBCG4AP is just $10 for about 2 emails worth of humor. I'd rather get more for my money.

I can understand why some people would not be big on this game. Particularly, if you're not a big enough HomestarRunner.com fan (like, if you don't regularly find their videos funny), there is almost nothing here for you. I was expecting a more watered-down Strong Bad experience, but I'm pretty surprised at how unflinching it is in its fan-service.

Pointing and clicking doesn't really feel natural on the Wii, interestingly enough. For the first time in my gaming history, I wish I was playing the game on PC.

I found it great. Tell Tale is like reading my mind here, Bone, Sam & Max, Homstar and now Wallace & Gromit. The game was Ok. I beat it in about two hours, I'm gonna go try and beat it 100% now.

Pretty cool game.  Here's my review:
Considering the controversial price, I'd give this game a 7.5/10.  (Playable, interesting, fun, but not perfect)
Good: I love the costume mode (homestar outfit ftw) Let's Go To Grandma's House, snake boxer 5, teen girl squad, the graphics, the flexibility, and, of course, supporting the TBC.  A lot of the interface is cute.  The programming and design is very well-though-out  The eMail thing with the Lappy is great.
Bad:   It's very easy to need the walkthrough.  The fact that I can't save the photos (which are jpeg's!) to an SD card is a minus.  The point-and-clickiness part of the game gets boring; we need more race-to-the-end-of-the-race type stuff in the part deux, maybe.  Definately not value-priced, if all five episodes will be like this.
Mostly, it's a must have if you have a Wii, an internet connection, and a taste for Homestar paraphenalia.

Tell Tale will most likely fix the problems in the next game or two. I wish it was longer though, it could've been 800 points at least. It took me 1:28 to beat  the game.

My girlfriend and I connected with our mutual love of Homestar Runner many years ago (well, like five or six years ago - also, I was the one that showed it to her), but recently our following the site's updates has become more casual, and we don't check it as often. Recently, I was watching some e-mails and was enjoying them quite a bit, so when we were eating lunch at my house one day, I busted out the laptop and we watched a few. She claimed to not enjoy it as much as she used to, even saying that she had agreed with the "your edge" e-mail. I was crushed.

A few days later, I have her over - the day this game came out. I pulled her into my room, turned on the Wii, downloaded it, and started playing.

Though there wasn't too much playing that went on, because we were both laughing so hard we couldn't do anything else.

I really don't understand how that happens! I admit to not watching as much as I used to... but I still enjoy it as much as used to.

Hmm, 2 things.

I was watching some old sbemails tonight, and I saw this in #144

The same hat we see in SBCG4AP! Weird... but strangely... appropriate...

And #2, umm... is it normal for your game to always freeze at a certain point? Namely, right when I receive the trophy? The King says his line, but nothing else happens. There are birds chirping in the background, but I have to reboot the Wii to get out. I tried 3 times, even pressing B to try to skip over the freeze part.  Cry maybe I'll try to redownload it...

There is no screen changing option. At least not in the settings menu.

... and that's the sound of you getting  D'd! -1'd, Bonkava.  Sad
He probably means setting one's wii to sd-style screening, or something.  Like a square.  Not a long rectangle.
