I have encountered a game ending glitch. I'm 17 hours into the game. If anyone can offer me any assistance I would greatly appreciate it. I'm at the save point at the End of Time. I saved, went to do some stuff, and decided I wanted to go back. However, when I reload my game, I can't move. I can spin in place, but I'm like, clipped into the wall next to the save point or something, so I can't do anything other than run in place. I am hoping that maybe this sort of thing happened in the SNES/PSX version (I never encountered it playing on Super Nintendo), and perhaps there is a fix or something. Thanks in advance for any help/assistance. EDIT: Things that I've tried to do myself that have done nothing -Switch to every possible on-screen character -Saving again (I can't -> it doesn't even acknowledge that I am on the save point) -Running in place in every possible direction -Going to the extras menu, making a new save in the monster arena, and then reloading (It simply re-warped me back to the same glitch) -Using the stylus to point myself out of the situation

Throughout my many playings of Chrono Trigger, whether it be the PSX verson or emulated (This time I can say its a back up copy!), I have never run into this.
So really, I have no way of knowing how to help you. What I would do is search and/or make a topic for help on one of the bigger video game sites. Like 1up or IGN. I'd steer clear of the gamefaqs and gamespot forums if I were you, as I doubt they would help. I think what happened is a kind of one in a million thing, so I doubt many people will have run into it. But I doubt even more that anyone here will know anything of it.
You could also fire off an email to Square-Enix if that fails, but I have tried sending emails to companies when games do not work before, and I have only found them to be helpful once (which, oddly enough, was Squaresoft with FF8 for the PC). It's worth a try though.

Thanks AoF. Yeah, I emailed Square-Enix and they weren't much help at all. I've also tried the other bigger gaming sites, but no dice. I figured this place was worth a try, so...yeah. Pretty lame.

I wouldn't give up on the save file yet. Keep it around if you ever decide to make a new one. Maybe someone will find some way of fixing it.
But that always sucks when you put in a large amount of time into a game and the whole thing is gone in an instant. I've had it happen to me too many times.

Yeah. It's just really lousy that Chrono Trigger, one of the most polished, balanced games of all time, can be subject to such a ridiculous glitch. I really wanted to finish the best RPG I've ever played on the DS, and now I don't think that's going to happen.

You'll come back to it. They always do.
