I have a strange perception of the practice of toweling down the tiled walls of a shower after use because it is apparently a part of my father's nature to do so after every shower, but it is a habit he failed to pass on to me at an early age. It was not until we were forced to shower at another's house due to bathroom renovations that he advised me to not bother with this task since he would be using the shower immediately after me. After perplexedly inquiring as to what he was talking about, I found out about this sanitary practice.
So my question is: do you dry the tiled walls of your shower after showering?
It makes a lot of sense to do so, since it effectively prevents the buildup of mildew on wet tiles. However, it was such a foreign and unheard of idea to me for such a large portion of my life that it made me wonder if everyone does this. Are there any other bathroom related rituals you are aware of that other people may not be? Feel free to share these here too.

Uh, we clean our showers with special materials like once every two weeks or so, but drying it after each and every shower? That just seems ridiculously excessive.

Yes, I thought it was pretty excessive and stange too. I was actually not expecting many people to do this. However, I think we actually did have some kind of problem with something rotting from being wet or something.
