Dude, where did I read about this? EDIT: Ah... It was the newest Retronauts podcast. The one completely about Chrono Trigger.

I was just talking about this game with my cousin, but completely forgot the title until now. I will download it when I have the time.

EDIT: I finally beat the first boss (Mike Tyson). Man this is a hard game. I think I died about a hundred times on Mike alone! I cannot imagine trying to beat this on anything other than the easiest mode (a lot more save points). Now, I'm trying to get past the moon. Incredibly difficult.

EDIT 2: This game's music is beyond amazing and I didn't know where it had came from until yesterday. Most of the songs are taken from Guilty Gear Isuka, including the awesome guitar song that plays when you die.

I've explored almost every part of this game and I can only find 5 bosses, and they aren't easy to find, either. Methinks the creator didn't put it in yet, at least on the version I downloaded. I wanna be the guy!

The game is still in Alpha build 0.8. The next release he makes will be the final version. A sixth boss was add a few weeks ago, so you may not have it yet if you have an older build. There are two end game bosses that will be released with the final version.

Well, the filename of the game has "alpha" in it and the guy who created it said the final release is happening next, so... I guess beta is being skipped.

This is probably my favorite indie game since Cave Story.

The formula is as follows:

Rez + Geometry Wars + Rhythm Action Game = Synaesthete

I'm pretty sure everyone needs to play this game.

It may only be one genre of games (shoot 'em ups), but here is proof that there are more indie developers in video games than some people wantcha to think.

They're out there. Some are good, some are mediocre, and some are just plain horrible. But they're out there.
