Well looks like Somebody gets to lament their decision to buy a PS3 for MGS4. Cheer up, pal, there's always... LittleBigPlanet? Final Fantasy has nothing to do with MGS4. Also, you act like it isn't coming out for PS3 at all.

What I meant to express was that Depressio's sole reason for buying a PS3 was that it can play MGS4. Unfortunately, he was very disappointed with the game, and thus presumably regretted his purchase. As a major Final Fantasy fan, the fact that his PS3 wouldn't help him to play that either is another blow to his purchase's credibility. (He already has a 360, so he wouldn't have had to buy a system for this game)

Square just shot themselves in the foot.
I don't know how much the rest of you know about Japanese culture (I'm an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It's not like it is in America where you can become successful by being an <BALEETED!>. If you screw someone over in Japan, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.
What this means is the japanese public, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase FFXIII for either system, nor will they purchase any of Square's games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Square has alienated an entire market with this move.
Square, publicly apologize and cancel FFXIII for 360 or you can kiss your business goodbye.

That is legitimately hilarious. I truly don't think I care about anything that much, let alone a video game series that's had some hits and some misses.
Also, the fact that these individuals start off their respective rants with "I HAVE ASPERGERS LOL" and "I'M WICKED BIG ON JAPANESE CULTURE LOL" just really makes me wanna great aether 'em upside the head.

Personally, I am expecting embarassing displays from both Nintendo and Sony tomorrow. Sony hasn't had a NOT bad press conference for several years now. Who can forget buzz words like "fantastic innovation," "599 US Dollars," and, of course...As for Nintendo, their E3 speeches always consist of the following: 1. Games that no one cares about except for the "casual" market and Mario sporting-game fans. 2. Flagrant, flagrant lies in regards to release dates

Ugh, the Miis- excuse me, AVATARS, invade another console.
Miis are childish, worthless, and a waste of time to create on the Wii. They'll be the exact same way on the 360. And if you have to pay for new clothes/customization options (which I'm fairly sure will happen, they already charge money for those stupid little gamerpics and themes that are FREE on PS3), I may puke my pants in pure disgust.
That article brings up a good point: the majority of Xbox 360 players are hardcore gamers. The majority of 360 games released are Mature or Teen rated. I have a pretty good feeling that people who are curbstompin' their way to the top in Gears of War 2 (see: most 360 owners) aren't gonna give two craps about Avatars. [/rant]
Anyway, I'm watching Microsoft's conference again. It warmed my heart to hear the cheers for Portal: Still Alive and Rock Band 2. And the relative "meh" surrounding Guitar Hero: World Tour was neat too. RE5 and its online co-op looked incredible, Saints Row 2 (I'm all for one-upping GTAIV with sheer number of features) is looking more and more awesome every day, and Mirror's Edge may be an underrated classic very soon.
What I'm really looking forward to is G4's 3 hour coverage tomorrow with demos of Rock Band 2, Prince of Persia, and Resistance 2. Unless Nintendo reveals something big (Majora's Mask on Virtual Console, plleeasseeee), I have nothing to look forward to from their conference...here's hoping for some real surprises.

FFXIII on 360?
Well, shoot, there goes one reason for me to get a PS3. That now leaves Resistance: Fall of Man and MGS4 (assuming I like the first three MGS's which I still haven't gotten around to playing yet) and possibly one more game.
So much for the PS3 being the console of the future.
