Nuts to believe this place has been alive and kicking for five years!  I've wasted a lot of time on here, and am very happy to have done so.  Thanks to everybody for making this such an enjoyable place, it really couldn't have been done without you!

Yeah, I joined up a good 9 months late. BUT better late than never, especially in this case.

Depressio keeps telling me that nobody gets along here. But I disagree. To me, I think we actually get along to the point that we can disagree with each other and even be a bit snooty about it* without blowing up in flame wars. We can see this in action pretty much anytime a really old member comes back and starts jerking up the whole place. We all kind of band together, don't we? And even though some people hate Dragonforce and others love it, doesn't mean we're always calling one another out on it. I don't know if this is the ONLY place people can keep a political or religious discussion civil, but I'd go so far as to say it's one of a very very few. Also, there's one more thing that I thank each and every one of you for: If you don't like a subject, you'll say as much and then leave if it starts to heat up. The way we have conversations (or even debates) instead of flame wars really heartens me.

Wow, 5 years already! That means I've been on for 3 years! Yay!!!

Seriously, though. I'm going to be a little more active here now (and everyone in the crowd throws tomatoes and trash at me booing). I just now realized how much the forum has changed since I joined. I was like, "wow!" It seems so different. We have the same boards and stuff, but something about the forum just seems a whole lot different. In a good way, though.

I hope it starts thriving like it was three years ago.

But that was the past. Everyone who still comes on here is nice/won't flame me. That often. I still think the forum is awesome, and I'm sure all of you do, too. But I am just showing how much change it's gone through.

2 days later I'm probably going to delete this post because I'll probably find something I majorly screwed up.

That's another good thing about this forum, too. I just thought I'd quote that as I agree with it... aaand Dragonforce is awesome.


So yeah, the forum is awesome, I joined three years ago, it's changed a lot, it's still awesome, Depressio made a very good point, Dragonforce rules.
