Finally! I have been waiting for this for years! Probably since like 2002. I remember when originally they wanted Peter Jackson to direct it and like Jet Li to play Goku and stuff. But obviously it has been changed. I am so excited now!  |

I have no doubt in my mind that this will be a very bad movie, but I'll probably check it out anyway.
100% guarantee the dialogue will be just as ridiculous (if not more so) as the show's. Not to say I don't like the show. The fight sequences were great, and the story was pretty good, but the people saying it (and what they were saying) were just so overly dramatic that it took away a lot from what made it fun to watch.

I've seen some pics... the main character looks nothing like Goku, although maybe that's for the better.
If the movie is anything like the series, they will fight for 2 hours and will end off at an important cliffhanger which the 3rd sequel will finally get to.

Technically, that's 37 minutes of fighting and the rest is grunting and charging up. |

I have very low expectations for this movie, but based on my years of obsession with the series back in my youth, junior high/early high school, I have to check it out. If nothing else, I must appease my inner nerd, so he'll keep quiet when I'm trying to talk to girls.

Budget of Dragonball the Movie: Over 100 million dollars
I think, as is the case with The Simpsons Movie, the studios are a little late to the party. I think North American interest in Dragonball is not quite what it used to be.

Yeah I'm definitely going to see this but only for the train wreck factor. I have no doubt in my mind that this movie is going to be bad but it's probably going to be so bad its good.
