Whats Ya Gunna Do When Pastamania Runs Wild On You

2 days ago I passed my driving test and am now legally aloud to drive in the United States lol. Took the test a month ago and failed parallel parking. 2 days ago I took the test again and destroyed it lol. I didn't mess up at all. I've been waiting on getting my license forever and was always planning on getting it at 16. Now 3 years later at 19 I finally have it WOOT!!

Cool! I remember I barely passed mine. If there was a parallel parking part of the test, then I totally would have failed.
Now, drive down to the local malt shop and ask Peggy-Sue out!

I'm out so hard, that even though I was already out, I'm now back in, and then swiftly outed again.
Goomba is god in this thread.

Yeah sadly in the state of PA you must parallel park or you can't pass. I did nothing but parallel park for days before my test and then went there and got it right first try. Now I never plan to parallel park again. Hitting cones while trying to parallel is fine but hitting cars is not and I'm not willing to take that risk.
Oh and sadly there is no local malt shop. My town is boring and dull.

A couple weeks ago when driving home from work there was a Driver's Ed car out in my neighborhood and the instructor was apparently teaching the kids to parallel park. That's all fine and dandy, except when the dolt is having the students come to a dead stop in the middle of a somewhat-busy street, just beyond an intersection, causing traffic behind it to come to a complete stop, because they aren't able to go around said car, due to it being a somewhat-busy street with oncoming traffic.

Hey, congrats!
BHC, where do you live? Parallel parking seems like a pretty standard thing to have to be able to do.
I remember that I had thought about taking my driving test where I had my driver's ed at Century Driving School, but heard they were much stricter. So, I went to this place five minutes down the road from my house where some friends had gone. They said it was really easy to pass there, and also cheaper. Sure enough, not only did I pass easily but I also got a free Hershey's Bar for passing.

Tiny little state known as California. There was one part where I had to back up along the side of the street, but no actual parallel parking. Yay for no places with cars parked but one spot is missing! I've practiced parallel parking since then. Why can't cars go in from the back?? It should work! IT SHOULD WORK!

That's really weird that California doesn't have a requirement for parallel parking.
