Even if that's true, would Nintendo even allow developers to release games without 3D effects on their console?

Probably. It's not like anybody is forced to motion controls on the Wii.

I'm not gonna lie, I don't even fully 'get' 3D. I dunno if my weak eyes just prevent me from seeing it properly, but every '3D masterpiece' that's come out recently - Avatar most notably jumps to mind - has just been...sorta fuzzier, to me. Not exactly my idea of proper 3D. (And yes, I was wearing the glasses).

So yeah, I don't really get the whole fad, and I feel like I'd be perfectly happy if my gaming experience left the third dimension unmolested.

I was under the impression that you'd have the option to turn the 3D on or off.

Is this news? It's the same thing we've known about the PS3 for a while. *Shrug*

You can turn the effect off, but processor power will be dedicated to the 3D regardless.

Umm.. It was more about the fact that the overlaying screens could be used without any sort of 3D in mind to get better graphics. And seriously? What would you rather want. Majora's Mask remade in 3D? Or Majora's Mask remade to look better than Twilight Princess?

But you were all like "SHUT UP. CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER ME EATING MY CAKE, SHAPED LIKE AN AMERICAN FLAG, AND ICE CREAM, ALSO SHAPED LIKE AN AMERICAN FLAG."

Shoot, I'm not even really a fan, and I'd check it out if it was like the Dojo.

3DS

Kid Icarus Uprising uses the technology provided by 3DS to create a new, immersive experience. I'd say it adds a new perspective to the gameplay, no?

The "D" stands for "dimension."

Pit is a trailblazing hero, perfectly suited to this new hardware.

Whoosh! He soars through the air!

My team is new with this software, so please understand that there will be many delays before release.
