Nothing I've seen has made me want to get one over a 3DS, or along with for that matter either..

To those thinking the PSP failed, think about this.

PSP sales: 62 million worldwide. (17 million in US).

Gamecube sales: 22 million worldwide. (13 million in NA).

Xbox sales: 24 million worldwide. (16 million in NA).

Real Talk.

Monster Hunter didn't sell in North America.

Well, it did. But it wasn't a system mover.

Well, those are worldwide figures. And Monster Hunter is definitely a system seller in pretty much every country that's not America.

I was mainly using it for a comparison of North American sales.

A rear touch pad makes so little sense to me. I guess I need to see it to understand, but it seems unnecessary. Other than that, I am actually pretty impressed by this, as a person who only saw the flaws in the PSP. Not that I'll ever buy it, because it will cost a lot of money, but still. Looks good.

People are suggesting it could be used as L2 and R2 buttons for ports or games that require those buttons. Also the one tech demo-y game that used it (I forget the name) had you touching the read touchpad to raise the land underneath a ball to make it roll around. Something like:

As a sidenote, by experiences with those nail toy things never reflect the perfect imprints advertised.  Although there is something lethargic about putting those things on my face...

Okay, so not only are android games coming to the Playstation Suite, but PS1 games are coming to Android devices.

All Android devices.

Yes, that means Triple Triad on your PSP, on your NGP, on your phone, and on your tablet PC.

I'm increasingly being impressed by sony when it comes to this sort of thing. Next thing we know, we'll be able to play PSP and PS1 games on steam.

I'm hoping that requires all of one purchase from me. Because that would make my decision between an Android Phone or an iPhone incredibly difficult.

One dumb thing about the design that I have to add is that sony is STILL using those damn volume buttons.

ALL PS1 games?

The Vita's price was cut to $200 and the memory cards are getting an undisclosed price cut as well.

Vita is no longer for rich people?

Edit:

4GB Memory Card $14.99 (was $19.99)
8GB Memory Card $19.99 (was $29.99)
16GB Memory Card $39.99 (was $59.99)
32GB Memory Card $79.99 (was $99.99)

Maybe it's still for rich people.

That's more like it. I'd bite for $200, it's the same as a 3DSXL now.

The memory cards are still a big middle finger though.

Vita-1000 on top. Vita-2000 on the bottom.

The new version of the Vita is thinner, has a longer battery, lighter, has 1GB on board flash storage, has better start/select buttons, and comes in hella colours. All for the same price.

Yeah, but that screen though.
