Got the Injustice Ultimate Edition for xmas. Haven't played any online matches yet but it seems pretty user friendly, I already feel like I have a better grasp of all the mechanics than I have with some other fighting games I played much more extensively.

I've put a bit of time into Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate. It's definitely balanced better than vanilla and the tutorial is superb. It's REALLY long, teaches you every single aspect of the game and even goes into teaching you the basic concepts of frame data.

On top of that, there's command training for every character and Combo Challenges to give you some basic B&Bs to start. But here's my problem: I can't find a character I like. I've tried at least half of the cast so far and none of them really feel like they fit my playstyle naturally. I'll probably stick with Rachel because she's top tier and not too complicated, but something about the way the game moves isn't clicking for me.

But yeah, that tutorial is fantastic. Once I saw dedicated sections for move startup, frame advantage and the like I was like "cool".

You can check that out at around 3:39 <a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/cfzRnu3JYRE" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/cfzRnu3JYRE</a>

Divekick is $2.50 on PSN (Vita & PS3 crossbuy).

You know what you must do.

Never thought I'd say this: I'm enjoying Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate a lot now.

Vanilla DOA5 didn't do much for me when I played it. I never got good due to a combination of the poor tutorials and not liking any of the characters. But now I found a character that fits my style, and the tutorials gave me a much better understanding of how to actually play. Also, the S-tier characters from vanilla have been normalized so I can't really blame matchups for losing now.

My biggest issue with the game now is that the netcode can be spotty. Good connection matches are fine, but when it lags it lags HARD. It doesn't seem to compensate for latency well, so there's no barrier between "this is pretty smooth" matches and "I am freezing for seconds at a time" matches.

My smallest issue with the game is that you can't exactly see costumes before you buy them. And despite there being at least 100 pieces of content to buy, there's no catalogue in the game to easily skim through them. It's just a big ugly Xbox 360 interface list.

And here's a blog on it.

Was I not paying attention, or was the retail version of Ultra Street Fighter IV was pushed back? The newest trailer says digital version June, retail version in August (._.)

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/v/dC-Hl33Xqpk" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/v/dC-Hl33Xqpk</a>

Oh, and the new character Decapre was revealed. She's like Cammy but she's Russian.
Also she's a charge character, has teleports and cool Ultras like Yoga Catastrophe and Maximum Spider.

Here's an exhibition match with Decapre.

I picked up Injustice while it was on sale. Really easy to get into, and it has a load of bonus content. I just finished the Story mode which was pretty darn good. I liked when Superman blows up 50 innocent people to stop Black Adam.

The only problem is that the tutorials are tied to progression in the Mission Mode. So if you wanna learn a character who's pretty far down the list like Wonder Woman, you have to do a TON of missions just to get to her "learn the basics" mission.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax added some new characters. These will spoil Persona 4 and Persona 4 Golden! I got spoiled on Persona 4 Golden and I haven't even played it!

P.S. Margaret having that giant brainbuster suplex as a move is my favorite thing.

P.P.S: MARY?

I hope all the Pokemon speak their native languages. That's why I like Tekken Tag so much.

I feel as though this could actually work really well. Pokemon have already shown to be good fighters in Smash.

Still, it's weird.

Time is running out!

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax came out this week, and you can get two DLC characters for free right now. After this week, they will cost $5.

Even if you don't have the game yet, you should download them while they're free.
