THE RULES (READ NOW!) Updated 5/8/04
« on: November 28, 2003, 10:10:01 pm »

Party Peoples and Fiction Writers,

Come one come all. This much anticipated section will serve all of your H*R Fan Fiction needs...

And now, a word from our Rule sponsor:

1) No inappropriate content. Stories should be G, PG or PG-13 rated. Anything seriously violating rule numero uno will win you an instant ban from this forum.

2) Keep it H*R related.

3) Story-type games can be posted here, but not if it's more of a game than a story.

4) If you are going to take the time to write some fan fiction, and you want others to be able to appreciate your work, make sure you include proper spelling/grammar/punctuation. Oh yeah, and if it's really terrible s/g/p wise, it's gets baleeted.
Use http://www.spellcheck.net frequently.

That's all for now, have fun!

Bubs' Bookstand is a place for members to post stories, poetry, or other types of fiction that is H*R related.

If you want to post any type of H*R literature, you are welcome to do so.  HOWEVER, I am sooooo tired of seeing something posted here that is basically someone asking everyone else, "Do you want to be in my story?"

If you have something to write, then do so.  If you want to "invite" certain people to be in your story then do so through forum PM, AIM, email, carrier pigeon, whatever!  But stop posting these threads  asking who wants to be in your story before you even start to write it.

Just like any other section on these forums, I expect the threads you start here to have a good, well thought out, solid first post.

So from now on, everything posted here at least has to have a "beginning".  If you don't know what your fiction is really about, or who will really be in, then DO NOT post it until you are sure.

Any future fiction threads asking, "who wants to be in my story" will get locked.

Regarding Teaser Threads

Hello authors!

I am here to let you know of a new rule we are going to enforce here at the Bookstand. From this point on, “teaser threads” are not permitted. These are threads that read ‘coming soon to a bookstand near you’, or something similar, in an attempt to build anticipation for the up-coming fan-fic. These are against this new rule. If you have an upcoming story, instead of posting teaser threads, place an ad in your signature, or go to the CGN thread with a casual announcement of your up-and-coming feature! This way, Bubs’s Bookstand is not littered with teaser threads that don’t really serve a major purpose. ALL TEASER THREADS FROM THIS POINT ON WILL BE LOCKED.

We do not do this to discourage you. We do it to keep Bubs's as organised and as clean as it can be, for the ease of the readers of your stories.

EXCEPTION’D!

If you have an e-mail thread that is up and coming, feel free to start a ___Mails thread, letting people know that you are ready to take e-mails. Just be sure to respond to those e-mails in that same thread. If you have any questions, PM one of us.

Happy writing!
