Theres a...boy in it right?......*ceases opportunity* You DO realize every movie has a boy in it? Pretty much? And I haven't read the book, but he's either a teenager or a young man. I've heard a lot of good things about the book, so maybe I'll read it sooner or later.

Eragon is 15 years old at the start of the first book, so he's a teen.
And, like HSRT said, every film typically has a boy. Well, a male at least.

Yea, but I just wanted to know what age he was.....any news of who he is going to be played by? Well, both Wikipedia and IMDB list Edward Speleers as the actor cast to play Eragon, although neither has any picture of him. Apparently, he's never acted before in anything besides amateur school productions, sorta like Evanna Lynch before being cast as Luna for OotP. Looks like everything else confirms this.
Ah, finally found a picture. Thank the makers of Google:

Eragon movie? Heck, I don't care about that, I just want the third book. Paolini needs to hurry up, durnit.
The second book, of course, was everything I was expecting it to be... that is, except for the shock ending, where...
Well, it's a spoiler, so I'm gonna have to make you scroll...
..........
.........
........
.......
......
.....
....
...
..
.
Murtagh switches sides through no fault of his own, and Morzan turns out to be Eragon's father.
Surprisingly, I never thought of that scenario. This series owns.

I'm very excited about the movie now that I've finished both books and figure the movie will be out before the title of the next book is released. I love both books!!

Worst thing about this movie:
"d00d tey ch4ng3d teh bookzorez!!!"
And it looks a little on the hokey side. The magic looked awesome, but it looks like it might end up as a dissapointment.

Books and movies are rather different. See, with books, you have access to thoughts, ideas, experiences, everything that's going on in the minds of the characters. With a movie, you're focused on sight. And looking at drab things with no flash and glam may have worked when you weren't actually paying attention to the movie so much as you were the tech ("Great Scott! The pictures! They... move!!"), but in this day and age, appearences matter. It's not fair, and it's definitely shallow. But, as Dylan so eloquently put it, "The times, they are a changin'."
Now that I've gotten my rant about the film industry out of the way, this movie looks good. It doesn't sound good, but it looks good.
Honestly, only certain people can take a book series and make it into something you'd want to watch in theatres.

Yeah, you're not supposed to be able to easily cross mediums, If you can, there's a good chance that what you wrote/directed/painted/sculpted/animated wasn't the best it could be to begin with.
