Keep in mind that when it is unvieled, it will most likey NOT be the final product. Just look at the DS.

Ah. But then again, look at the gamecube. It stayed exactly the same as when it was unveiled.

I cannot WAIT until Nintendo's new system comes out. Then GameCube will go dirt cheap and I'll be able to afford one.

Wait, isn't it dirt cheap now? i saw at this one store they were selling a gamecube for less than the price of a few gamecube games! Plus, Revolution will play gamecube games. So you can buy a gamecube for dirt cheap and play all the fine games on the system or you could buy a revoloution and play all the fine gamecube games and all the revoloution has to offer, but for a crap of a lot more money. Choice is yours.

I kinda feel stupid asking this, but what is "Wi-fi compaitbility"?
Hey, no need to feel stupid! Tell ya what, to make you feel less stupid, I'll ask too, because I'd like to know as well! But, doesn't it have something to do with wireless capability for something (i.e. controller, online play, etc.)?

I don't know the "Technical" definition of Wi-Fi, but I'll give it a shot. Ok... Wi-Fi is a wireless internet connection. It is used in handheld devices. (Like DS and PSP). It usually seems to have a relatively small range. (DS' is about 100 feet, I think.) I think it is similar/also known as bluetooth. WiFi is the wireless way to handle networking. It is also known as 802.11 networking and wireless networking. The big advantage of WiFi is its simplicity. You can connect computers anywhere in your home or office without the need for wires. The computers connect to the network using radio signals, and computers can be up to 100 feet or so apart.

Yeah. I couldn't really figure it out. But that is a good enough explanation. But with DS and PSP, i think you can useWI-FI to access online gaming through a computer with internet connection. That is, if the compute supports Wi-fi. Found a more indepth look a Wi-fi here. A word of warning, it is quite long.

To put it simply "Wi-Fi" (Wireless - Fidelity) is a wireless network connection. At various places in the community (most often coffee shops) there are "wi-fi hotspots" where you can take your wi fi enabled device and gain access to the internet (Often for a fee). You can also create a wi-fi hotspot in your home by purchasing a wireless networking router. That just basically allows devices within its range to connect to the network.
Wi-Fi isn't really bluetooth though. Bluetooth is a different wireless technology, I think. But I don't know as much about bluetooth. What I do know is, for example, say you have a bluetooth enabled PC and cellphone. You could use this to wirelessly transfer information between the two devices. Other than that, i'm not particularly sure.

So, basically. If there is no "Wi-fi hotspots" in my town, then i have to dish out $300+ for wireless networking at my own home to be able to play online? well that just sucks!

Does anyone know what a Cellphone uses to like, call other cell phones and stuff? EGM ran a rumor that said the Revolution online might use technology similar to what cell phones use. (Old issue.)

That would be radio waves, i do believe. Which is different than Wi-Fi. And Revoloution is officialy built-in with Wi-fi. More on that here. And for those of you who want to make sure that wi-fi is available in the area your at see this little object.

Also, as I don't think it's been mentioned, the Revolution WILL connect to the DS using Wi-Fi.

I am the Sonic fan to end all Sonic fans. Seriously, ask me anything about Sonic. I always love a good provingsomeonewrong. I hate the Sonic X English dub! It is made by 4Kids, the worst dubbing company in the world! They cut the episodes until there is no cohesive plot!

This wouldn't surprise me. As computers are easily connected through Wi-fi. Why not game systems? But from my info, it is merely speculation, therories and geusses that they will connect. Never confirmed. But if you have a link that confirms it then by all means post it.
