Recently, Homestar Wiki aquired the domain name of Homestarrunner.net. This may be a bright future for .net, so we might be seeing the forum again. Right now it is being used as a redirect to the wiki, but they on their main page they say they might do something about it. I will post further updates in this thread (Or you can if you want).
(Mods you can move this to Thing in a Bag if you want. I thought this would be big though.)

I'm pretty sure what they meant by "not staying like this for long" is that they were going to either: get rid of the domain, or use it as a mirror for their own personal files. Again, that's just me though. I'm not JoeyDay or anything.

Homestarrunner.net: Never been to it Hrwiki: Don't really like it.
Why? Because this place is cool enough. I don't need, I don't want another site. Thank you.

I've been wanting to post in this thread ever since I obtained hr.net, but haven't been able to because my user account hadn't been activated due to the unfortunate events that have happened here lately. I'm sorry to hear things have been rocky for your community, and I wish all of you the best moving forward. Burning Horizon's fan forum has always been one of the biggest and best homestar fan forums on the net and I'd hate to see it dissappear. Anyway, to the matter at hand. First, by way of answering some of the questions already asked: No, we aren't going to get rid of hr.net and it isn't going to become a mirror for our personal files. I have an idea for what it will become, and I've been trying to get feedback from the various fan communities. I've posted about this on HomestarRules.com, the Homestar Runner Wiki Forum, usshomestarrunner.com, hsrforum.com, and StrongFans.com. Basically, the idea is a Homestar Runner portal. The portal would contain a directory listing of as many Homestar Runner fan sites as possible, kept up-to-date by the site owners themselves. Basically I'm seeing this as a tool for site owners to spread the word about their own sites and attract new members. Each HR fan community from Homestar Rules to the Homestar Runner Wiki to BHZ has different goals and a different atmosphere, and we want to value that and help new members find a community they can feel comfortable in. The goal is to promote all the different fan sites equally. The new site will also have a blogging system where you'll be able to let the rest of the Homestar fan community know what's going on in your neck of the woods. So, someone from BHZ might want to tell everyone about a new thread you started that's got everyone laughing. Or you might want to advertise your top five threads each week. I'm really looking for lots of feedback and suggestions, and would love to hear from you. Above all else, I want to make sure you know I'm not working against you. I would really like to work with you and for you. I value your community and want to make it better by helping you to promote it. I've been following this thread and will continue to do so. Please let me know what you think or ask any questions you may have. Thanks.
