I think we need one section for threads that don't go in any other subject.

Just a random thread section.

You can call it what you want but I just think we need one.

Well...as far as threads go, the Pit pretty much does that.  I don't really understand what more you're looking for.

Absolutely not.

I'm going to limit myself to pointing out two things:

1.We already have a billion sections for non-homestar thingss, one of which is for anything that can't even fit in to those sections.

and

2. If you are trying to say that we need something else, some more off-topic sections, then you could not be more wrong, at least in my eyes. "Enough off-topic sections" is a place we passed by long ago. Anything more is practically suicide.

I know of a great off-topic place. It's called "the rest of the Internet".

I don't really see how this idea that you're proposing is any different from The Pit... and that place seems to be doing just fine, so there's no need for yet another off topic section.

What's up with you people and "random" stuff? It's not even that funny, or fun to post.

Well, if you don't like it, don't read it Smiley You're not being forced to.

This is getting slightly off topic, but I wish to add my two or so cents...

If I had my choice, I would take us back in to "ye olden times". Ideally, the forum would have:

One Off topic thread, located in the TIAB section, under the name of "CGN", and four email sections, plus Sadmails, because I doubt those will ever stop, and it leaves more threads open for other people. The email system would be the same as it used to be, except that once somebody applied for an email thread, the admin/mod in charge would ask respected forum members to ouch for these people.

These ideas may not be popular, but honestly, I think it would make the forum a bit more active. Has anybody noticed that about four emails are sent to email threads nowadays anyways? Why have all these threads hanging around if they just keep posting so-called "toons", and never actually answer emails? Worse, never actually recieving emails.

That's what I think. You may now return to your regularly schedualed lives, already in progress.

Wait - why do some e-mail threads deserve their own board? Granted, the majority of e-mail threads rarely write e-mails and write cartoons rather than writing e-mails (in which case they should be deleted, as I thought the policy was - stories are for Bubs' Bookstand), but we'd be going to the extreme to grant a select few users their own forum for their thread.

Actually, I didn't say their own board. They would just be threads in the BBS section.

I realize that there are a few of you who wern't around for this, but this is the way it used to be. There were four email threads, whichwere allowed to get up to 20 emails, and then they would have to let somebody else take a turn. That's how it used to be. Seriously.
