I also just spent a good deal of time fruitlessly searching for another quote that made my insides churn.  It was something about Harry either seeing or thinking about Neville and Luna and thinking that they 'probably still checked their DA coins hoping for another meeting date to appear.'  Now that I think of it, that was probably in Half-Blood Prince, but it's one of my favorite quotes in the series.  I'd be grateful to anyone who can find me that quote.  It's gotta be one of the most powerful embodiments of the ideas of friendship and loyalty in the form of a sentence in those books.

Yeah, that was HBP, after Dumbledore's death.

Ahh, Potterwatch.  Fred is one of my favorite characters in the whole series, and that only made it better.  Other than that, I agree that the Battle Scene is incredibly epic.

Others I liked that haven't already been said:

- Hermione slapping Ron across the face
- Neville killing Nagini

"This is, as they say, your party."

Saddest part of the book, to me, was the death of Dobby. Lupin and Tonks were really sad, too, but come on! Freaking Dobby! Coolest House-Elf ever!

Speaking of House-Elves, I greatly enjoyed the redemption and heroics of Kreacher and Percy. Both were characters I had major ill-feelings towards at the beginning, then by the end I was really happy with.

Oddly enough, the rejuvenation of this thread coincided almost exactly (about 10 minutes off) with my finishing listening to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on CD.

I live in the town where all the American books are printed, and somehow that means one of my mom's students (she teaches English as a Second Language to adults) is able to give me books 7 and 4 on CD, as well as 6 on tape. !!!.

This means I am itching to talk about the last book again.  New favorite part, you ask?  It gave/gives me intense goosebumps when they talk about Hagrid holding a "Support Harry Potter" party at his hut that forces him into hiding.  I dunno why.  For some reason it really symbolizes how much Hagrid loves Harry for me, I guess.

Ooh!  Also, Kreacher leading a band of house elves back for the sweet second, post-apparent-death-of-Harry charge in the Great Hall.
