Issue 101, February 2006, page 82. I noticed the picture next to the Pac Man World 3 review, and thought it looked an awful lot like Stinkoman. Sure enough, it was; just read the caption underneath.  |

Woah, neat find! It seems as if there haven't been many sightings as of late, and that one is pretty significant. Is pac man world 3 out yet or is it just in development? Cause if its out, maybe someone can attest to the pac-man-sounds-like-stinkoman claim.

I think it just means that Stinkoman's voice is generically bad anime, but on HomestarRunner it's used in a joking manner. In this game, they tried to make serious voices, and it came out hilariously bad.

That's what I was wondering... if it was a rip on H*R, or more of a rip on generic crappy voices (which is what Stinkoman is spoofing).

I THINK it is DUE to the FACT that STINkoman SPEAKS in SUCH a STILTed TONE of VOICE and PUTting the emPHAsis on ALL the WRONG words.  (Are you saying that my language development is CHALLENGED?) Some people think I'm being insulting when I say that the voices of, say, the 1936 characters, the 20X6 characters, TGS and the Cheat Commandos are "excellently bad". But I'm not. I'm just saying that these voices are supposed to sound stilted or badly-acted, and that's exactly how they sound, and it's a stroke of brilliance on Matt's part that he can make himself sound so awful. I think that's the point the article is trying to make. Of course, the tragic part is likely that Pac-Man's voice actor thought he was doing a good job. And if you're actually trying to make a good voice but you sound like Stinkoman, well, that's pretty bad on you. |

I'd say that if the article itself says the voice is similar, that should be proof enough.
