What's the worst book you ever read? I'd have to say, 'Bridge to Teribethia'. It sucked. Please tell me what book you think is the worst.

I remember liking Bridge to Teribethia. Back in, like, 4th grade.
I hated the book "so you want to be a wizard." Absolutely a Harry Potter rip-off, down to the last word. There was even a major villain they called "he who's name must not be spoken" or something. I remember choking my way through it, kicking and screaming the whole way.
"Pride and Prejudice." Had to read that summer before last. It's supposedly some ultra-amazing literary masterpeice. It's an eighteenth century cheap drugstore romance novel.

I absolutely despised 'The Last Holiday Concert'. So it's by a crappy author who wrote a book about a pen.
Let's leave politics out of this... it's not called for.

Farenhit 451. It should be a great one, but is just written poorly. Things don't flow, characters aren't interesting or consistent. I sure did enjoy burning a copy of that book after I graduated high school. (If you're familier with the book, you'll see the irony in that last statemet )

Look, if you really did burn it, and you're not just saying that for the irony, you should be ashamed of yourself! Look,You may not have liked the book, but you should never burn a book! It's like banning books. It just shouldn't happen. My dad says if a book is banned, buy it. But burning them is even worse. You should be ashamed that you're being scolded by an 12 year- old, too.

Pff... upon graduation of high school me and about 60 friends torched numerous books. No shame needed, just a bunch of people taking pent up rage on some innocent books. People need to learn to lighten up, burning a book isn't always a huge "statement." Oh, and don't worry, you scolding me doesn't even put a ding in my ego...

This is a major offence. You did what the nazis did. Never speak of torching books in my threads ever again.

And the nazis burned books during world war two, I'm not saying anyones a nazi just pointing out this little tidbit of information.
Well...I guess Quenners beat me to it but I'm still saying it to reinforce it.

So, when we lit these books up, we were having quite the good par-tay. We had a bonfire going that was a little under 45 feet tall. Good times, I tell you what.
Oh, you guys do what Nazis did too- you eat, and sleep, and breathe, and... ...you get the point.

And almost every living being on the planet does those things to. But not everyone burns books: mostly the church and the nazis.

They laughed when they found out what ones we burnt.
It's basically useless for you guys to chastise me and my friends for what we did. When you're seniors in high school, you'll understand part of it. Also, we didn't burn the books to make a big statement, or to censor them- we burnt them to celebrate our freedom from school.

I forgive you. Highschoolers are dumb and I forgive stupidity.

I'm a junior so I pretty much know the feeling but I love reading and I believe the worst crime is destroying books for they convey the thoughts, feelings, and ideals we may not share and serve to widen our understanding of things we'll never see or expierience. Books have a way of transporting us to a place we can never go, they help us to expand beyond our boundaries and feel what you have never felt before.
