Has anyone read these books? There are three and a prequel (the White Mountains, City of Gold and Lead, the Pool of Fire, and When the Tripods Came). Imagine if the martians had won in the War of the Worlds and you'd get the Tripods Trilogy. In 1984, they made both a straight to video version and a BBC telivision sieres. I'm also exited because in 2007, a feature film versionwill come out. Anyone who wants to read a good trilogy, read these books. They're well written, exciting, and chilling science fiction books.
