There is a short teaser for the upcoming movie on the site.  It looks like it'll be a "live action" film, not animated.  I'm quite interested in seeing more of what this will look like!

Yeah I saw this recently. Looks interesting...very interesting. I mean live action transformers? That's almost guaranteed awesome.

Michael Bay...Isn't that the guy who made The Island? That movie sucked. Otherwise sweet.

Yeah, Michael Bay being the director is the one thing that makes some people nervous about this film.  I don't care who the director is, I'm still very interested in the potential this movie has.

The Island, other than it's overwhelming shameless advertising, was a good film in my opinion. It wasn't the greatest film ever made, but it wasn't bad.

And Michael Bay as director may worry people, but Stephen Speilburg as Excecutive Producer keeps my hope alive. I have been following this movie since it was rumored a few years back (2002 or 2003, i can't remember), as I loved the old Transformers cartoons as a child (and still do). The Transformers: The Movie was a great example of how good TV shows can be made into good movies.

Then again, that was the a cartoon and this is live action.

We shall wait and see how this movie will turn out...

Here is the current list of the cast and crew according to IMDB.

I expected the Pirates of The Carribean movie to be pretty good. It turned out to be the best thing I've seen in recent months. Why? The new Transformers Trailer. It didn't give us any information, other than Mars, 2003. But I still loved it. Counting down until Independence day!

There are some really cool fan made live action/CG transformers that you all may or may not have seen. Here's a couple

Fan Made Optimus

Fan Made VW Bug

This was rumoured to be an ILM test for the movie but was later debunked. It still may be true though.

Necromancy? yes. Is this trailer worth it? Definately.

I can't speak for everyone, but that definately got me hyped for the film.

I don't know; this movie has far too many "nonono!"s for my tastes.

J/K man, I've been waiting for this since it was just rumors.

Oh baby yeah. This is definitely no kids movie. This is how Transformers should be. I was a little skeptic, even when I knew it was live action, but that trailer just wiped all doubt from my mind. I definitely have to see that.

On another note, does anyone know if any of the Autobots/Predacons will be talking? From all the trailers I've seen, they just kind of growl and make beast noises, but they don't actually talk.

EDIT: Okay, apparently they do, as there are people cast for the voices of Optimus Prime and Megatron. But, Wikipedia says that they're Decepticons, not Predacons. Aren't they two different groups?

Predacons are the antagonist from the CGI television show Beast Wars, whereas Decepticons are the antagonists from the animated television show Transformers.
