I still say Pearl Harbor was good. It was entertaining. And, I've heard good things about The Island too.

I liked Pearl Harbor, but previews for The Island made me decide to not even bother spending any money on it.

The Island was OK, but not what I'd call good. I define a "good movie" as one I'd buy on DVD.

I posted this in the CGN, but I'm doing it here too:
I just got out of a showing of it and was reminded, yet again, of the awesome score for the movie. I checked online to see if Sony had finally released the score, and nothing. I looked online and found that at this time, there are no immediate plans to release the score.
So, to any of you who, like me, would love to be able to listen to the score itself, and not the songs from the "soundtrack", especially when most of them don't even appear in the film, and the ones that do are in it for like 10 seconds, I have a petition for you to sign. If you want the musical score composed by Steve Jablonsky to be released, click here and sign. Right now, there are 1695 signatures (I'm #1695) and we need all the people we can get to sign it to convince Sony to finally release the score, all of it.

Transformers DVD is coming out October 16. Right now Amazon has a listing for a 2-Disc Special Edition and an HD-DVD edition. I'll probably get both, because the only HD-DVD player I have access to is at home. Conveniently, this is about a week after the score for the movie comes out on October 9. Methinks a nice cross-promotion will happen, especially with all the people that were clamoring for the score.

I must be the only one here who didn't like it. Too much human, not enough robot.

I agree with you, except for the fact that I actually liked the movie.
But you are right: in all Transformers mythos, the humans should play a small part, and robot fighting action should encompass most of the action.
Still, I can forgive them a bit when one of the human characters is as drop-dead gorgeous as Megan Fox.

Title confirmed for Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen. Here's the Wikipedia page for it.
Quite interesting, what I read there. Definitely makes me look forward to the second film, though it's coming close to the next Harry Potter film, like the last one did (though not as close this time). Wonder if that will affect things?
Thoughts?
