iTunes forced me to upgrade my iPod software to the "new" version that it came with. I did. And now my iPod doesn't work. Thanks a lot jerks. At least Apple was good enough to send me a replaecement iPod.
If by "won't work" you mean "won't connect to computer", then try rebooting your iPod (Menu+center) and while it is rebooting, hold play/pause+center. that will force your iPod into disk mode. See if that works next time you have problems. Which is hopefully never.

So, as a few of us here did recently, I upgraded to iTunes 10. At first, before actually using it to listen to any music, I was quite pleased. It looked sleek, economical, and "iTunes Ping" seemed like another useless albeit unintrusive idea. I was happy.

But then, I actually used the program. If only playing music, and doing nothing else, everything was fine, and I was a satisfied user. However, if I ever attempted to click my mouse or press the keyboard to do basically anything in addition to playing music, I found that my songs would skip constantly, and sound like a scratchy old 45. The first couple of times I noticed this, I figured there may have just been an issue with the software, but I didn't bother uninstalling and reinstalling my software.

Instead, I began to poke around, and noticed that I wasn't the only person having this issue. Scores of other iTunes 10 users were encountering the same problems as I was.

I've always been a happy iTunes user, I've been using it for a few years now, and have never had any issues like this before. Thus, all I hoped was that they'd fix it like iTunes 7.

They haven't yet.

It maketh me sad.

It even sometimes does it when I'm not touching the computer and iTunes is the only window open.

The thing that bugs me about iTunes 10 is the maximize/minimize, hide, and close buttons are vertically aligned.
