One of my favorite activities when I've no one to fight is to listen through My Music on Brawl. Now that I've unlocked every song, I know my favorites, and I'd like to hear yours!
Top 5 favorite songs featured in SSBB:
1. Main Theme (Twilight Princess) - Bridge of Eldin 2. Flat Zone (Melee) - Flat Zone 2 3. Stage Clear / Title (Pikmin) - Distant Planet 4. Space Battleground - Lylat Cruise 5. Mario Tennis / Mario Golf - Mario Circuit

It's too bad so many amazing songs are on terrible, unplayable stages. Nonetheless, Brawl's soundtrack is amazing, and it was really hard to narrow it down to 5.
5. Bramble Blast (Game: Donkey Kong Country 2 - Stage: Rumble Falls) - I was a little unnerved when I heard how radically the Brawl team transformed this classic song, but it eventually grew on me. This is a nice balance between paying tribute to a great oldie while still giving it an interesting new sound.
4. Team Galactic Battle (Game: Pokemon Pearl/Diamond - Stage: Spear Pillar) - Awesome and epic. If only you could turn off the Pokemon that appear in the background of this stage...
3. Humoresque of a Little Dog (Game: EarthBound - Stage: New Pork City) - I don't know who thought of remixing this track to turn it into fight music, but it works perfectly.
2. Mach Rider (Game: Mach Rider/Melee - Stage: Port Town Aero Dive) - For some reason, this track has quickly become one of my absolute favourites. It's too bad not all the Melee tracks made it into the game...
1. King Dedede's Theme (Game: Kirby's Dream Land - Stage: Halberd) - Sets a frantic and amazing pace for a match. An awesome remix to a great song.
Honourage Mentions: 90% of the songs on Halberd Shin Onigashima King K. Rool/Ship Deck 2 Bob-Omb Battlefield

Sorry to steal this thread, but I have a topic that might stir up some debate.
Top 5 RPGs of All Time
I chose this because I saw an abysmal list of RPGs that apparently doesn't include "nostalgia" as a factor. Although mine won't be much better, because I haven't played most of the RPGs that others consider the best.
5. Quest 64
Way back when I owned a Nintendo 64, I rented a game called Quest 64. I was enthralled by the young boy's epic quest to save the king, and I adored the unique battle system with the attack circle. It was turn-based, but with a twist, and I loved it.
4. Super Mario RPG
Well what do you know? The game I criticized the other list for made it on mine. It's obvious that the game is incredible, with one of the most entertaining storylines I've ever had the pleasure of reading. It's laugh out loud funny at some points, and it's unlike most RPGs in that aspect. Not to mention the battle system is very unique.
3. Kingdom Hearts
I've always found Rikku to be the creepiest character of any video game. Not because he's evil, but because he is actually a girl in Final Fantasy X, and I keep imagining him in her skimpy outfit. That being said, I can't say enough about how incredible the combat was in this game. It was so intuitive, and simply fun to play. It is a masterpiece in every facet.
2. The World Ends With You
This is easily my favorite handheld RPG that has ever been made. Featuring a style unlike any other game, and a unique combat system that utilizes both screens, the game is just fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed watching each character develop throughout the game, and I never got bored of the battling. Not only is it the best DS game, but it's one of the best games overall.
1. Final Fantasy X
Like I said, this was my first game that I knew was an RPG when I played through. And I still consider it the best RPG that I've ever played. Everything about the game was so polished, from the incredible orchestrated soundtrack to the awe inspiring cutscenes. I've played through the game three times and I still want to replay it. That shows how incredible a game really is.

DANG! I had just showed up to do last week'stop 5... I hope nobody minds if I post that now?
TOP 5 - Favorite songs in Brawl
Battlefield ver.2 - Battlefield I have no idea why I like this song so much, but I almost had to turn this song off, lest it rock my face off. ROCK MY FACE OFF. You know, flamenco style, or whatever you want to call this. So cool.
Victory Road / Dialga/Palkia Battle at Spear Pillar - Spear Pillar Man, these songs rock together. It's nice knowing that even if the stage is ruined by Palkia or Cresselia, I can still rock out while gettin' boomeranged. Also, the second of these sounded much better in the original game, but this version still works!
Shotgun Kiss - Port Town Aero Drive Only the Captain of Love himself could handlesuch a rockin'/light jazzin' tune like this. I would want a theme song like this in real life for whenever I did something awesome, like kicking a parachuting nazi in the face while skydiving on the moon.
Bramble Blast -Rumble Falls Unlike most fans of this song, I didn't ever hear this one growin' up, but it's so incredibly good nonetheless. If you could relax and daydream in a RADICAL HARDCORE X-TREME WAY, then this would be the song you'd want to use to do it. It's the music from the end of an inspirational movie, but good!
Pirate Ship (Stage) This last one may be cheating, but there's nothing better than loading up a stage and knowing that no matter how you set the My Music, you will never get a lame song! If it isn't a battle theme, then it fits the stage wonderfully! My favorite stage in the game, for sure. Why don't we have My Stage or My Items? I would abuse them to great lengths!
Sorry about that, E Tizzle! But RPGs sounds like somethign I want to be a part of, too, so I'll be back! ...hopefully in time, too!

I honestly don't know if I've played enough non-MMO RPGs in order to make an accurate list. It'd likely go something like this:
5. Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
4. Fire Emblem (GBA)
3. Final Fantasy IV
2. Golden Sun
1. Golden Sun: The Lost Age

Okay, Catch up time. Lets see if I can do this:
Top 5 Story Moments that make you go "WTF?"
I'm not going to spell out what it is, but I'm pretty sure those who have played the games will know which twist I am referring to. Still going to space it out
5. Disgaea: Hour of Darkness - Not the true ending, but the normal one. Sacrifice.
4. Chrono Trigger - Death.
3. Jak 2 - "Death" of a fairly awesome supporting character right before Jak's eyes.
2. Chrono Cross - Many, Many, Many things. Relationship to the original, reversal of roles, appearance of characters...
1. Killer 7 - While the whole game could be applied, the major twist about character identity is what I'm talking about.
Top 5 Favourite songs in Brawl
Very hard list to make and is really not 100%. I ignored all master tracks for this, as to not fill it up with "Right There, Ride On" and "Yell "Dead Cell"". Still, just listing 5 songs is really limiting, but I'll try.
5. Bramble Blast (Donkey Kong Country 2) - While it is still one of the best songs in Video Game history, this arrangement doesn't live up to my hopes. I find it too slow, too calm for its own good. Plus, being stuck on one of the worst stages in the game doesn't help it.
4. Marionation Gear (Chosoju Mecha MG) - I have never even heard of this game, let alone play it. But, for some odd reason, I get a heavy sense of nostalgia while listening to it. Having now heard the original on youtube, I like it even more. Great song, great remix.
3. With Mila's Divine Protection (Fire Emblem Gaiden) - Another song I didn't hear until now. An amazing song that really gets you motivated to fight. It really shows you how great music on the NES was, just that limitations of hardware was what stopped them from reaching their full, musical potential.
2. Dedede's Theme (Kirby Dream Land) - Okay, I'm going to say this straight: Halbred has the best selection of music of any stage in the game. If the songs were spread out to other stages, they would be my top choices. But it is Dedede's theme that I find to be the best of the picks. Having never liked the original theme to the guy and never really liked the character much, I was surprised by both how awesome the arrangement is and how much personality Dedede has as a fighter. It is the perfect theme for him and the perfect arrangement for the level, character, and song.
1. Boss Battle Theme (Subspace Emissary) - I absolutely love the theme to Brawl. It is a great song and I think that they made a great choice in remixing it into all aspects of the Subspace Emissary. While the original is good, the Boss battle theme stands far above the rest. The intensity of the song really makes the boss battles and it shows how strong of a team of musicians they have behind the title.
Top 5 Best RPGs of All Time
5. Odin Sphere - I'm not a huge Action RPG fan, but I'm glad I picked this one up. The art style in this game is absolutely beautiful and only rivaled by the likes of Okami. The music is ambient and voice acting perfectly matches with the characters. The story of the five characters woven paths are excellently written and is one of the better stories I've come across. And the difficulty, oh the difficulty. This isn't the game to go mashing the X button to kill your opponents or you won't survive even the simplest levels. Planning, strategy, and preparation is needed for even random battles. The food/seeds/soul system is a joy to use and I really wish more games had such unique aspects of gameplay.
4. Super Mario RPG: The Legend of the Seven Stars - One of the first RPGs I played and still one of the finest. Great characters, outstanding humour, a simple, yet effective battle system, beautiful graphics for its time, and one of the finest soundtracks to date.
3 & 2. Final Fantasy Tactics & Disgaea: Hour of Darkness - These games are the best offerings in the Strategy RPG genre. Tactics is the game with the epic storyline and laid the basis of all major SRPGs today. Disgaea is a game that never took itself seriously, put NIS on the map, and kicked every aspect of Tactics up a notch. They jump back and forth continuously in position in my head, so they are basically equal.
1. Chrono Trigger - Being the best game of all time, a game without a single flaw (all those who have set out to find one have failed), and a game I place as my favourite game of all time, how could it not be number one?
There. Phew. Now I can rest easy.

Top 5 Disney properties that would work really well in Kingdom Hearts
For some reason, combining Square melodrama with Disney cheer actually works. Usually. Regardless, the series is pretty good at including a pretty diverse range of Disney material. Here are 5 that they should consider for the next (legitimate) entry into the franchise. Probable release date: Summer 2012.
5. Gargoyles - I was never personally a fan, but this gothic and surprisingly melancholy 90s series has a huge following. KH games don't stray from darker material (Nightmare Before Christmas, for example), so there's no reason why a level on this show couldn't work.
4. Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers - They had an awesome NES platformer, so why not bring this cartoon back for a KH level? Also, Monterey Jack needs to work at least once a decade.
3. Darkwing Duck - This show was great. DW would make a more-than-capable party member with his gadgets and over-exaggerated entry speeches.
2. The Emperor's New Groove - Though an area based on this legitimately funny Disney movie would be awesome (having to get your way back to the Palace would be pretty cool), everyone would have to settle for David Spade and John Goodman impersonators: few actors from movies seem willing to reprise their roles for video games.
1. The Incredibles - Since Disney and Pixar have formally united under the same banner, a level based on The Incredibles should be a given. It's arguably Pixar's most action-packed film, and come on: who wouldn't want to team up with Mr. Incredible and take out that giant robot?

I haven't seen New Groove yet, but thing is, they have that TV show, so they'd probably use the actors from that for a KH section.
I've always though Pixar films would be a good choice. They only seem to do movies, so as much as I'd love a Gargoyles level, I doubt it would happen.
I'm still trying to think of Brawl songs, so I'll post that and a Disney list later.

I haven't seen New Groove yet.
Go. Watch. Now. Seriously, one of the funniest, and best, films I have ever seen. As for the kingdom hearts tie-ins.... This was a fairly hard list to make. A great selection of shows and movies from my childhood (Fraggle Rock!) would work so well in the KH universe, but I can't choose them all... 5. Emperor's New Groove - To be honest, I have no idea how this would work. But you can't just pass up a good chance to get tossed out of a several story foot window for throwing of Cuzco's groove or accidentally pulling the wrong lever. 4. Ducktales - Scrooge has a lot of money to protect, but the great villians in the show make boss fights and tie ins with the heartless so perfect. 3. Robin Hood - I am so surprised this has yet to be placed in the series. One of the my favourite Disney films, it has a rich cast of characters, along with the perfect new party member, and a great setting that could be used. An archery competition would be a must. 2. Monsters Inc. - I originally shrugged off the idea until I remember the scene where mike and sully are on the conveyor belt of doors, randomly running through them to try and find the missing "Boo". This scene alone would work so amazingly well in the game, running through the different parts of the real world and preventing the hearless from ever reaching beyond the doors. Sully would also be a good party member. 1. The Incredibles - Could they're be another? I mean, super powers? Sora, Donald, and Goofy in Super hero outfits? Fighting off Syndrome? That would be freaking sweet. My one hope is that you wouldn't just have Mr. Incredible in your team, but have a huge superhero battle with the family with both the "flying circular cutting machine things" and the Incredibles and Frozone take down the Omnidroid. Oh, and "Where is my supersuit" is in order. Honourable Mention - Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers - Two Words: Jack, Monterrey Jack.

Good topic. This one should be fun.
5. Robin Hood
You're right, I wouldn't have thought of it if AoF hadn't first. But, how awesome would it be turn Kingdom Hearts into a FPS while you are in Sherwood Forest?
4. The Sword In the Stone
Was the Merlin from the first Kingdom Hearts from Sword in the Stone? I don't really remember. But, I think following young King Arthur around would be awesome.
3. Toy Story
Following Buzz Lightyear to infinity and beyond would be awesome. Seriously, how awesome would it be to follow the crew from Andy's house to the arcade?
2. Finding Nemo
I can't help but think that Dori is a perfect Kingdom Hearts character. She's dumb, funny, and following her around underwater would be very fun.
1. The Incredibles
Following the family around would be cool. Seeing Sora and the gang dressed as superheroes would be hilarious, and would also be very fun.

I can do this one, but I'm still trying to decide Brawl songs.
1. Incredibles -- My favorite Pixar film, and one that would be sweet. Sora, Donald, and Goofy would all look awesome in Incredibles costumes, and they could each have their own superpower.
2. Toy Story -- This would be a good choice as well, and then they could do Toy Story 2 in the next game (if they do a fourth game). Enemies, beside Heartless and Nobodies of course, could include Sid's creations (before you find out they're good of course), Army Guys (when they think Woody got rid of Buzz) and of course, Sid's dog.
3. High School Musical -- Now, before you start throwing things at me, hear me out. It would NOT be how Little Mermaid was done in 2. Imagine instead though that, say, Sharpay decides to enlist the help of the Heartless to make sure that she and her brother get the part in the play. You'll have to stop the Heartless from interfering with rehearsals and such, and even make sure that Troy and Gabriella get from their respective competitions to the gym, while they're under attack from Heartless. Final boss could be a seriously PO'd Sharpay who takes the Heartless and then basically pulls an Ursala from the first game and grows big. You wouldn't hear any actual singing. Now, you gotta admit, even if you hate HSM, you'd love to take Sora and bash it somehow, right?
4. Jungle Book -- Honestly, I'm surprised they haven't done this one yet. They'd have to do it different from Tarzan, obviously, but I have full confidence that they could do it. I don't remember the story exactly, but it would be awesome.
5. Chip 'N' Dale Rescue Rangers -- Fighting alongside Chip and Dale would be awesome. I don't know how they could do it, but if there's any TV show that they should put into KH, it's either this or Darkwing Duck. I put this one in #5 because it's more serious than Darkwing Duck (plus we'd already have the superhero thing going with Incredibles).

Nintendo is definitely a company that cares substantially more about casual gamers than hardcore ones these days. With E3 around the corner, I'm making two lists. Top 5 games that should be revealed at E3 (but probably won't): Nintendo edition5. Pikmin 3 (Wii): This franchise has been lying around for about 4 years now. It seems obvious that one of Nintendo's most recent IPs would actually be...used. 4. Animal Crossing (Wii): Nintendo's bizarre-yet-addictive chore simulator seems like an obvious choice for the Wii. Despite its complete lack of voice chat and a terrible online system in general, there is no reason not to bring this game onto next-gen consoles with some (limited) Wi-Fi features. 3. Mario and Luigi (DS): This RPG series has been dormant since the very underrated Partners in Time. Bring it back, please. (Especially considering that a Mario RPG remake/sequel is never going to happen.) 2. New Super Mario Bros. 2 (DS): What is Nintendo waiting for? The last time I checked, this game had sold well more than 10 million copies. Please don't wait another 10+ years to give us a 2D Mario sidescroller. 1. Mother 3 (GBA/DS?): Despite Lucas's appearance in Brawl (along with a bundle of songs from the game and a stage), there is still no word of an English localization. Since the GBA has moved on, why not add a few touch-screen features to a game that is already fundamentally complete? Not getting my hopes up, though. Top 5 things that are far more likely to be revealed at E3: Nintendo editionIn order to set the tone for the following list, I present you this emoticon: Here I go. 5. DS Redesign...again: I'm pretty sure Nintendo is thinking the DS Lite is starting to wear out its welcome. So get ready for a new DS, with a brighter screen and the inability to play GBA games. 4. Link's Crossbow Training 2 (Wii): They need to do something with the Zapper, right? Hey, just change Link to Toon Link and you're set. 3. Donkey Kong (WiiWare): Nintendo has already rereleased Donkey Kong on Virtual Console, for GBA, and even in Animal Crossing. Why not encourage people to get old games again on the WiiWare service? You can even exchange high scores with your friends! Providing you exchange both your Wii system code and your WiiWare: Donkey Kong friend code. 2. Brain Age 3: Train Your Brain in Even More Minutes a Day...or else! (DS): People love to play sudoku while the floating head of a doctor challenges them to draw a picture of a horse. 1. Wii Sports 2 (Wii): I had this discussion with a friend of mine, and he was adamant that this would be Nintendo's major reveal. Wii Sports inspired your parents to awkwardly pick up your Wii and declare that it's fun to play bowling. I was personally not a fan whatsoever, but considering that people consistently shell out money for stuff like Carnival Games, an announcement like this seems likely.

In Lieu of the Top 5 thing, I think I'll just list off a whole list of ideas, starting from most common to less common. Kind of defeats the purpose of the Top 5 thread, but what can you do. Also, this list is only what nintendo should do. So no Wii Health Pack or Wii Sports 2 for me. - Animal Crossing Wii - It's already confrimed. For serious, people. But I'm thinking that the game's potential will be bogged down by either reusing everything from the previous games or by casual-fying it. What would really be best is making it an MMO. Sort of Nintendo's answer to Home. It would be a lot better than the gate system found in Wild World. You'd still have your own village, but you'd be able to visit any of your friend's villages, whether they are there or not. And stuff.... .... It's Animal Crossing, okay? Everyone has thought of these potentials before and everyone knows what it'd be like. And everyone knows it would be awesome. - Kirby Adventure for Gamecube Wii - We'll hear something about it. Soon... Soon... - New Super Mario Bros. 2 - I was not the biggest fan of the first effort on the DS. I thought the level design was repetitious, boring, and completely unimaginative. Plus, the use of the jumping system found in the 3D offerings (triple jump, side jump, wall jump) and the fact that Mario was now 8x bigger in proportion to the rest of the screen as compared to the classics, all of it, well, made the game way too easy. I'm hoping for them to give us a better overworld system, a better power up system, some challenge, creative level design, and for them to bring back the old mario charm. - Kid Icarus for Wii - This is pretty much the only listing that isn't based on gut feeling. I am almost positive that a Kid Icarus game is out there and in development. But shown at this year's E3. Doubtful. But this is a list on what they should do. What they should do is unviel it, show a teaser, and give it as much time in the oven as it needs. Cause this game should be good. There are a ton of things you could do with this series. It could be a Metroid Prime-esque experience shot completely from the third person. It could be a toned down God of War or Devil May Cry type game. It could be a Prince of Persia type game that mixes puzzle solving and platforming. But the original gameplay? Sticking to it's roots? Not an option. If this game is going to be any good it has to be like what Retro did to Metroid. A complete reimagining. - Elite Beat Agents 2 - Ouendan 2 was released over a year ago, so where is the North American love? As much as I want to see the Ouendan series ported over in their japanese insanity, A new Elite Beat Agents is the next best thing. The same formula would work fine, but try to get a bigger, and much, much better, track list, mmmkay? - Star Fox for Wii - Honestly, I have very little faith in this franchise. Little to none. Adventures was just a Star Fox tie-in to what could have been a great stand alone title. Assault proved that, no, missions on land, linear paths, and a horrible storyline were not good directions for the series. And Star Fox Command single handedly vaporized my desire for them to bring back Star Fox 2 (which had the same basic gameplay, but more SNES-y). But, I think they could do it. If Nintendo puts an effort into making it one of their key franchises, having near the same ratio of gameplay styles as Star Fox 64 (area levels, a lot of emphasis on the onrails levels , submarine/tank levels only here and there), they could bring it back. But I think they would have to cut out all the characters we know and hate love to do that. There is just too many horrible characters to be found in that universe, arguably only matched by the Sonic the Hedgehog games. A new cast, a new direction. - Pikmin 3 - The game was made for Wii and last I heard, Miyamoto still loves to garden, which inspired him to make Pikmin in the first place. I would love to see them take the Pikmin 2 formula, with underground little dungeons and the emphasis on collecting things rather than fixing your ship, add not only multiple areas, but multiple worlds. Miyamoto, don't limit yourself to the landscapes of your backyard. Sure, it would be cool to see more reimaginings of the original Pikmin stages (that's all the Pikmin 2 areas were), but having not just a forested area, but multiple landscapes that are both real and fantastical, would allow for new opportunities for gameplay, enemies, and pikmin types. Also, IR control would be a must. - More Wiiware support - Nintendo's offering for their own service has been dull at best. Dr. Mario, imho, was only ever good for the music, and My Pokemon Ranch should never be bought by anyone. Ever. Now, Nintendo will probably announce a few puzzle games, a few casual games and be done with it. But I really think Nintendo needs to devote more energy into making sure there are quality titles from all genres on the services. And, more importantly, they need to take some cues from both Capcom and XBOX live arcade. What do I mean by that? I mean Super Mario World 3 or Super Mario Bros. 4 needs to be made. In classic sprites. Just like Megaman 9. We all know that Megaman 9 is going to sell through the roof. Some people are even willing to buy a wii just for that title. Creating "New old school" games would sky rocket in popularity if Nintendo tossed one of their own franchises into the mix. And it would keep the diehard fans happy for a long time. Also, taking from Xbox Live Arcade, Jazz up your old favourites. And when I say "Jazz up" I mean "make them freaking insane". My idea? Donkey Kong: Retro Evolved. How Awesome would that be? For Donkey Kong to be played like Geometry Wars and Pac-man: Championship edition. Geometry Wars has sold systems, believe it or not, and an insane donkey kong could do the same. - Harddrive and/or storage solution - This problem far outreaches geeks and otakus, it is a dire crisis. And nintendo better darn well know it. The casual market has taken a liking to the Wiiware service, evident by the sales of the most craptacular games on the service. And if one was dumb/casual enough to buy all of these scum of downloadable gaming, their Wii could not hold all of it. And if you are dumb/casual enough to buy all those games, I doubt you have the knowledge or desire to delete your said craptacular titles, not knowing you could download them again and not dealing with the hassle. As soon as that happens SCREEEEEEECH- Cash flow stops. Others (Call them gamers, the hardcore crowd, smart people, whatever) have quit or slowed their purchases of games to prevent the process of "cleaning the fridge" months ago. Bottom Line: The storage problem affects everyone. And it needs to be addressed. Not later, not when Nintendo sees fit. Now. For the public's and the companies' sakes. - Golden Sun 3 - The Lost Age, while wrapping up most of the quest of Isaac, Felix, and the lighthouses of the world, still left us with a semi cliffhanger ending. Now, that could be pursued and have a new quest with the eight characters, maybe having it a few years down the line where everyone has settled down in peace and have a new terror arise. That would be cool. "But another idea would for it to take place decades, if not centuries, from the ending of the original two games. Sure, you'd be unable to play as the great characters that were introduced in the first, but you get a good look at how the final events of The Lost Age impacted the world. Anywho, a new Golden Sun game would be amazing, on either DS or Wii. - Metroid Dread (DS) - Ah Metroid Dread. The oft rumoured return of the 2D metroids, which admittedly haven't been gone that long, but the wait since Zero mission has been kind of unnecessary. Place it into the timeline however you see fit, but I'm just hoping for the massivest(sp?), the hardest, and the best 2D metroid to date. Or, at least match what Fusion and Super did. -- A mature Wii Zelda game - With Phantom Hourglass release last year, I think the ball is in Wii's court to do an original wii zelda. And considering the direction Phantom Hourglass took, I think it will be dumbed down a lot marketed to include the casual crowd. That's not what they should do though. I want to see a Zelda that takes Twilight Princess and kicks it up a notch. More emphasis on a Darker story, a longer game, bigger overworld, and make Link BA again. Oh, and please, do not try to make a new OOT. Twilight Princess tried way too hard to be its older cousin and it was held back because of it. I don't care if you just show us a trailer now then release it in 09, just get your butts working on it. - F-Zero Wii that isn't dumbed down - Nintendo did not like GX. In fact, they hated the direction Capcom took the series. Why? We don't know. No one knows. It's just one of the bad design senses that Nintendo is prone to having. That's why if they do make a F-Zero game for Wii, don't expect it to be GX, but harder, better, faster, stronger. Although, it should be. - Mother 3 (DS/GBA) - DO WANT. DO FREAKING WANT. But it will never happen. Nintendo of Japan either hates North America or Nintendo of America hates Mother. Either way, we missed out on both Mother 3 and the Mother 1+2 package. - Increased Virtual Console Support - As in: "We are going to release a consistent number (3-5, like the old days) of titles, we are going to weed out the crap, here is a preview of what is to come, and here is a list of release dates" There is a huge backlog of not just nintendo titles, but also third party games, that are just sitting in the pipe, waiting for nintendo to pull their name from the hat or however they pick what goes on there. Come on, Nintendo. The VC needs quality titles, with at least one solid nintendo game (that means no Yoshi Cookie) a month. There a publishers dying to get their stuff on the service, but you have some crazy notion that not all of it will sell. Well, if you just release one crappy game a week, it won't sell. And that means less money for you. - Voice Chat in Wii's Online - If there is one thing Nintendo likes doing, it's scaring everyone into thinking that every video game player out there wants to prey on your children. If you have voice chat BAM, your child is kidnapped or murdered by some unknown stranger he met through a mario kart match. Despicable. But truly, Voice chat is needed not to bring in the lovely community of Halo 3 into our homes, but to communicate with your friends that you know, so you don't have to type that there is a sniper on the roof of that building or laugh at them when you launch a blue shell at their lead or simply say "nice meteor smash". For a console that is built around playing together (We), Nintendo is sure trying desperately to limit that community to playing against, for all they know, mindless drones. - A new, non-casual IP for Wii - I was looking back at the nintendo's franchises a while back and noticed an odd trend. In the NES and SNES days, Nintendo had new IPs springing up everywhere. Sure, the NES was the beginning for the company, but you didn't see Nintendo relying solely on Super Mario World in the SNES days. The N64 was slower, but introduced franchises like 1080, Banjo-Kazooie (back when Nintendo owned Rare) and Wave Race, and had new spin offs of established franchises, like Mario Tennis, Mario Party, Mario Golf, and Smash Brothers. Then along came Gamecube. And what did we get out of it? Pikmin and Mario Strikiers. That's about it (Superstar Baseball sucked, do not try and deny it). It was sequel city. The whole system was about waiting for the next iteration of the Mario, Star Fox, Metroid, and Legend of Zelda franchises. And what has the Wii given us so far in terms of new IPs? Excite Truck. That's it. And I doubt Nintendo is going to make that into a franchise. And don't try and sell me that casual crap. That stuff is played for twelve minutes by those who buy it and then neatly thrown into their storage room, along with the idiots' Wiis. - Super Smash Bros. Brawl: Tournament Edition - Do it Nintendo. Pull a Street Fighter II. Make an expansion to the original that has more characters, more options (like varying speed settings, toggling pokemon/assist trophies, changing the frequency of each item rather than in general, etc), and a new stage or two. You don't even have to include the 1 player functionality. Just recycle everything from Brawl and give us a multiplayer only affair. It would be great. And Nintendo would sell millions. But they won't do it. Sakurai has already said that if they were to make a new Smash Bros. game, they would do the same thing they did with Melee to Brawl and 64 to Melee: Start from the ground up. And that is that. Big wall of text is complete. Brain Age 3: Train Your Brain in Even More Minutes a Day...or else! (DS): People love to play sudoku while the floating head of a doctor challenges them to draw a picture of a horse.
It's what I feared all along. Nintendo of Europe is secretly lurking on our forums. That or they are stalking Depressio. Quick! Ask them whether or not Geno was originally in Brawl!
