ZOMG I have the reconzzz chestplate.

I'd like to see them make the playoffs. They've always been one of my favorite National League teams.
I'd like to see them win a World Series in my lifetime. But this year I think we have a very good team.

Sorry, but I hate to say the Tigers will beat them this year.

I myself would also love to see the Cubs win a World Series, but I'd rather have the Tigers win it. So, let's put it this way, if the Tigers don't make it, I'm rooting for the Cubs. If the Cubs and the Tigers make it, either way I'll be happy, but I'll be happier if the Tigers make it.

Not gonna lie, the Cubs are one of my least favorite N.L. teams, barely beat in loathing by the team from St. Louis. Guess it's just from playing them so many times and them keeping us from the play-offs with untimely wins a few times. Personally, while I still have enough optimism to hope for the Stros to make a late season comeback, (It's not like they haven't before...) in the event of the Stros not winning the N.L. Central, I want the Brew Crew to take it, based on my intense dislike for Chicago and St. Louis.
Personally, all the Cubs fans I know personally (I'm not counting y'all in this, cause y'all seem pretty cool about them.) are RIDICULOUSLY whiney. I understand they haven't seen a World Series crown in a long time, but seriously, most of us haven't. It doesn't make you cooler in my book if you have alleged "curses" or horrible luck as your excuses for not making the play-offs. My friends who are Rangers fans are good at owning up to the truth... The Rangers just aren't that good, and haven't had the talent in the last few years to keep up with the Angels and the A's. I'd like to see more of that.
In keeping with what I just said, the Astros were sucky on the road this year, and their pitching was mediocre at best, except for Roy Oswalt. Poor pitching torpedoed us this year like lackluster hitting plagued us last year.
That being said, until we're completely eliminated, I'm keeping up hope. 7 1/2 games back...

It has been quite a treat to see Cameron Maybin patrolling left field for the Tigers this weekend. Hard to think that only a year ago he was playing in my hometown on the Low-A minor league team. I also get a kick out of telling people that he knew me by name while he was playing here in town.

That sounds like my cousin. My aunt and uncle and two cousins live in Sox territory, which is north side? But he is a diehard Cubs fan. He didn't even cheer for the Sox when they won the World Series. Seeing as my mom and her siblings were raised in the Chicago area in Sox territory, I'm only a little bit more of a Sox fan, and I was cheering for them when the won the Series. But, I really would like to see the Cubs win.
When Cubs fans complain about the "curse" I just laugh and point out the Red Sox's ability to break the curse.

Mr. Potthole are you some kind of celebrity in your town or what? Anyway about the Cubs. I don't really care about the "curses" or anything like that because I was born years after them and I only recently learned about them while watching a documentary and I always can wait till next year if we don't make it to the world series.

No, I just happened to get to know most of the players from the local minor league baseball team last year. I shoot photographs at many of the games each summer, so the players begin to recognize me after awhile. I also know a few of the host families that players live with, so I happen to get some off-field interaction with players as well. Maybin mainly remembered me because I had him autograph a poster that was made out of a picture I took of him. I showed it to him when the team was over at my friend's house watching a boxing match, and all his teammates laughed at how he had "Bambi Eyes" in the picture.

Hi-ho, hi-ho, it's of to Detroit I go!
Time for my second Tigers game of the season. Last time I saw the Yankees play in De-troit-city was the 2006 playoffs, when we first had the Kenny Rogers Show (such a great game for me to be at) and then the C-Mo and Maggs Homerfest (another great game for me to be at). Let's see if I still have some of the ALDS mojo with me!

Wow! I never thought I would say this, but my Reds are now 60-70, and 6.5 games back in the NL Central!
I had written them off probably three months ago, but I guess since our division sucks so bad, we have a shot now!

I was just happy to be at the game. Baseball's just a game, so I try not to get too upset when things don't go as I'd like them to go. If the Tigers can win tonight, it'll be the first series they've won out of their last 11... ouch.

A new year, a new Emma Watson picture.

I think potthole's happy today. 16 - 0? I just got to see like the 7th inning, but still...wow. If the Yankees (and Mussina) keep playing like this, the Mariners (and my Red Sox, for that matter) should have absolutely nothing to worry about.

Wow, 16-0? The Yanks need to step it up. I've never really been a fan of the Yankees, but I mean, they are giving all that money to a team that isn't stepping up to the plate (sorry for that terrible pun).
