I was pulling for them to win. I didn't really have anything against the BoSox until after they won it all on '04. Ever since then their fans have become annoying, snobbish and obnixous. Not unlike the Yankee faithful.
Ah. Well, I'm not that way with either team. They're just fun to watch. And, you can't deny that the Yankees in the past have had some amazing lineups. Much like the Red Wings. |

So, Red Sox are going to the World Series.
As a quiet, peace-loving college student living in a New England dorm, let us just say I am terrified tonight. On Sunday, the night where they won the game that would send them to the World Series, there was running up and down the hallway screaming and banging on doors for every run we got, and after the game, every trashcan was knocked over, trash strewn everywhere, one trashcan was stomped flat, and a chair in the dorm lobby was broken clean in half, then everyone ran outside to screaming their lungs out in the parking lot.
I can only imagine with the utmost dread what's in store for tonight.

lol. I'm sorry, but that's funny. Well, I guess all you should hope for is a Rockies victory, then!  Anyway, I'm excited. I would rather prefer the Rockies to win, since I think they are more deserving, but I'd but pretty happy if the Sox won as well. Rox in 7. |

It doesn't really matter. They made it to the world series. Now if they win, there'll be a riot, if they lose, there'll be a riot. Sigh.

Rockies winning would be even worse.
And why is that? There are a multitude of reasons I'm hoping the Rockies win. 1. The story about the players giving money to the widow of one of their Minor League coaches. 2. Anything to shut up the ever increasingly annoying Red Sox fans. |

Nah, BoSox fans aren't like MSU Spartan fans. If Boston loses the World Series, the town won't burn to the ground, unlike the case of East Lansing following a major MSU basketball postseason loss.

Well, when they one for the first time in 80 years two years ago, there was a riot and a girl was shot and killed. However, last night was fairly anticlimactic. Ah well.

The girl wasn't shot in an act of violence, though. She was in the crowd that was going a little nuts (I don't think it was an all out riot), and a police officer fired a bean-bag bullet into the crowd to gain control over the situation. It happened to hit her in the eye, and the injuries sustained led to her death. |

Even though I consider myself a Bostonian and a Sox fan, I would be just as happy if the Rockies won, as they have never ever won a World Series, while we have already satisfyingly " Яeversed the Curse" in 2004. Still, I wouldn't be that surprised if Boston wins. (We're ahead 4-1 right now.) Speaking of Boston winning, did the Patriots stop winning or are they still winning without anyone caring? |

Well, the Sox won. I'm kinda disappointed, but if the Rockies were to lose against a team, I'd prefer them to lose against the Sox.
As hot as the Rockies were, the Red Sox are just a far better team and they played better. They really deserved it.
