You guys hear about the entire setlist being officially revealed? It looks cool.
Oh, forgot about this little tidbit:
Ah, but as great as this list may be, you love your old RB1 tracks and just don't want to give them up. Fear not. All downloadable content will work with Rock Band 2 and gamers can export tracks from Rock Band 1 to RB2. That's right -- from day one you can bring all RB1 tracks into RB2 to compliment your DLC as long as you own a PS3 or an Xbox 360 with a hard drive.
And there's more. Harmonix actually wanted to toss in 100 tracks total for the disk, but couldn't get them all in one time to ship for Xbox 360 by September. So this fall, MTV is releasing an additional 20 downloadable master tracks... for free. By year's end this will mean RB fans will have access to more than 500 songs. http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=63005

Float On=awesome. I seem to be the only one of my friends who actually likes the setlist, though. Also, apparently Harmonix needs to renew all licensing rights in order to allow for the Rock Band 1 songs to be transferable to the sequel. There are rumours that a few tracks won't make the cut. At least DLC is guaranteed to work in both games. And it's free. EDIT: Also, I really don't think this game will ship in September. More like...late October.

Maybe if you have a PS3, PS2, or Wii. The 360 launch date is September.
Anyway, here's a crapload of Rock Band 2 pictures: http://www.xbox360fanboy.com/photos/harmonix-at-e308/922907/
Also, the Rock Band Track Pack Vol. 1 is out today for you Wii and PS2 owners. Basically it's a disc with 20 DLC songs.

http://uk.reuters.com/article/autoNews/idUKN1126019120080712 Quote: NEW YORK (Billboard) - With the "John Madden Football" videogame franchise nearing its 20th anniversary, publisher Electronic Arts is pulling out all the stops to celebrate the occasion.
Most notable for the music industry is a tie-in between the game's soundtrack and the "Rock Band" videogame. (EA serves as the game's distributor, which is actually published by MTV.)
Under the deal, "Rock Band" will feature music from the "Madden 09" soundtrack in its weekly downloadable songs update, a handful at a time, over several weeks, with each song carrying the "Madden" brand. Additionally, each soundtrack song will be available for sale via iTunes as part of a special "Madden" playlist.
EA is also offering fans who pre-order the game from Target an iTunes gift card worth 10 free downloads once they pick up the title.
A special 20th-anniversary collector's edition of "Madden 09" will include a version of the new "NFL Head Coach" game, which won't be available to gamers until three weeks after the "Madden 09" launch. The collector's edition will also bundle the classic "John Madden Football '93" game and exclusive video content that includes footage of cover athlete Brett Favre.
On August 12, EA will host Maddenpalooza, a one-day "Madden 09" game tournament and concert featuring such bands from the soundtrack as Good Charlotte, Airbourne and From First to Last.

Snow is absolutely nuts on guitar. It's just as hard as it is on real guitar. >_< And I swear that G-Y strummy part is off-time...maybe because RHCP didn't use any metronomes when recording Stadium Arcadium?
I need to get the whole Who pack soon. Actually, I have a lot of DLC to catch up on...I don't have any albums yet.

Next week's DLC is a 480 MSP ($5.99) 6 pack of songs from Roadrunner records, 99 cents per song.
Airbourne – Runnin’ Wild - 80 MSP - $0.99 DevilDriver – Clouds Over California - 80 MSP - $0.99 Dream Theater – Constant Motion - 80 MSP - $0.99 Killswitch Engage – My Curse - 80 MSP - $0.99 Machine Head – Aesthetics Of Hate - 80 MSP - $0.99 Megadeth – Sleepwalker - 80 MSP - $0.99
This is a limited time deal though. Next month, each song will be up to the normal $2 price and the pack will cost $10. IMO it's a great deal for a pack of songs I mostly like. I doubt I'll play My Curse much though, that song was annoying in GH3 and I doubt it'll be less annoying in Rock Band. Rock Band 2's Achievements and Trophies were revealed too. (I'm really sorry for linking you to IGN, but I don't feel like copy/pasting all of that)
I'm interested in what the Impossible Challenges are. Maybe playing every song in a row by your self, like a single player Endless Setlist? Will it incorporate downloadable content? Hmm...

So I pre-ordered the ion drumset. I hope I didn't make a mistake. If I like it a lot, I'll probably buy the drum brain, but not until I'm sure it will work well. Otherwise I probably wasted around 150 bucks and shoulda just bought the normal set with cymbal pads. :l

For $150, that kit should NEVER have any crosstalk or dropped hits.
