I actually like Pimp My Ride because I like cars.  I really like what they do to some of them.  Like installing a School Bus-like stop sign thing that says "CHILL" instead of "STOP."  That was cool.

Speaking of Pimp My Ride although I don't have anything against the show itself really (I do find it somewhat boring, as all episodes seem the same to me now), I am sort of tired of how it's affected culture.

I don't fully put it on the show, but ever since it's been on the air, way more people try to 'pimp' out their own car.  And usually it's a car that has no business being 'pimped' out.  Take for example the numerous Chevy Cavilers I see in my neck of the woods, people drive them around with the big coffee can tailpipe, spoilers, and fake NOS dials.  It's a Chevy Caviler for crying out loud, not only does it look pitiful to do that to a car of that nature (aka not a sporty car), but most people I see like this don't even trick out the entire car.

If someone is going to waste their time and money 'pimping' out a vanilla economy car such as a Caviler (or insert the name of almost any other economy car), they should at least do a complete job.  Don't just glue on a spoiler and/or a coffee can and call it good.  Better yet, don't even bother doing that kind of stuff to a car like that.  Save the 'pimping' for a sports car that's deserving of it.

I just have to say this about Pimp My Ride. Those people better hope their cars aren't stolen or had all the crap torn off the next time they leave it in a parking lot.

God, they used to at least TRY to work their cutaway gags into the plot, now it's practically like the South Park episode verbatim every time.

If you were going purely off of last season...okay, I could KIND OF see the point. If you're talking as a whole, though, unh-huh. No way Season 5 blows. It flat out rocks.

A lot of people glance at the idea of 24 and assume it's just another "macho dude killing terrorists" show. But it really gets interesting when you see how psychologically damaged all the characters are, especially Jack, and the fact that it's very rarely, if ever so far in the series history, the generic Muslim terrorists who've been behind things.

I'm just not interested all that much in action shows anymore.  So I see 24 as just another one of those Fox shows that are boring.  Now almost any anime is good.

Yeah, you really need to see more of it. I'd suggest watching the first...oh, 7 episodes of season 1. If you're not into it by then, then you probably won't be.

Then again, if that's the case, starting with season 4 or 5 might not be a bad idea either. The action starts in 4 at the end of the first episode, and with season 5 the first 10 minutes are all "OMG OMG OMG" and by the end of the first episode of season 5, you really can't wait for the next one. I would start with one, though, because they all sort of build on each other.
