There are those select shows I really couldn't care less about that everybody else seems to enjoy out of their minds. I'm talking Arrested Development, 24 (sorry anakinjmt,) and Grey's Anatomy.
Anyone have their own?

There are very few shows that I like, so basically any show that people are big fans of I don't like.
Also, I can't imagine why one would despise any show. It's not like they hurt you or anything.

Honestly, Jackass is the most tolerable of the MTV shows I have seen. I respect your opinion. A show that I hate would have to be Laguna Beach. It is a prime example of how far from music MTV has become. I have to put up with the idiots at my school talking about it every freakin' day. I couldn't care less about a "reality show" about a bunch of spoiled jerks. Oh, and yes, I know Jackass is another example of that. At least I got a cheap laugh out of it. |

Jackass is intolerable because people are actually hurting themselves on purpose for no apparent reason except to get on T.V. O.C., Laguna Beach, and The Hills are also three shows I find intolerable that girls just won't stop talking about. They're complete borderline trash. Their theme songs should be "Can't Watch This" by Weird Al.

Bah, 24 and Grey's are great shows.
I will say that Arrested Development is a highly overrated show. It never made me laugh, once, despite critics raving it.
And, pretty much anything on MTV and VH1, because it shows how they're not about music anymore.

That's So Raven, Cory in The House, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, and Hannah Montana. UGH, that's one of the reasons I am SO glad I don't have any channels anymore. For some reason I can't picture a show that had such low viewer-ratings it got canceled after three seasons being "over" rated. Seems to go against the basic definition. |

+1 for the Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Abridged Series reference! Zorc and Pals! That's So Raven was actually OK (It reminded me of Cousin Skeeter and Kenan and Kel.) The other three you mentioned are terrible, though. For some reason I can't picture a show that had such low viewer-ratings it got canceled after three seasons being "over" rated. It's a cult show. Only extremely popular after being canceled. Goes along with the painter's theory: only became popular after dying. |

I mean overrated where critics are concerned. I've heard them say it's an underrated show, but concerning critics, it's overrated.
HSRT, those are perfect examples of why shows for kids and preteens...suck. When I was a preteen, I remember watching Lizzie McGuire and Even Stevens. Those are good shows. The crap coming out now is trying to coddle kids, thinking kids can't handle serious things. That's yet another reason why I love the Harry Potter books: Jo doesn't try to coddle the kids, but does address death very clearly. But, that's books, and this is TV shows.
I will say, one show that I've seen several times that I still don't see what the big deal was: Saved By the Bell. I never understood what was so popular about that show.
