I remember when the CGN thread was in Thing in a Bag and you could see the "While you were typing 12 new replies have been posted" message, when all diamonds were blue 24/7, and everyone replied to people's questions. Now there aren't any blue diamonds in Strongbadia almost ever. <.<

To help boost the revival, let's talk about the old days of BHZ, back when the censor made spoon sthingy.  Back with yABB (or whatever.)  Back when CGN was in TiaB...you get the point.

You know what this forum needs? An encyclopedia. You know, for some reason if newbs come by, and they want to figure out what we do here, who we are, major events (e.g. the forum glitch of aught-five), etc. Just a place that people could look, to prevent questions such as "what does CGN mean?" or "Why is the newest toon in Action Cool News if the newest email is in Secrets?" (though I think that last one is covered in the rules...)

There really aren't any new members asking those questions.  Rather On Fire came into the chat and asked if a wiki would be a good idea and we agreed it wouldn't serve much purpose.  It probably would have been cool to have up until 2006 maybe, but I honestly don't think anybody is gonna look at it if we had one now.

The golden days of BHZ being a place rampant with Homestar lovers calling each other by silly nicknames are past.  All that there is to be said and fan-stuff'd about Homestar Runner has been done.  The only thing to discuss now are the new weekly updates.  What we have now is a small but stable community of people who come here to talk to each other rather than about Homestar Runner.  What BHZ was in 2004 is not really something that can last a long time.  It happened, we were all a part of it, it was lots of fun, now BHZ is different, but still a good place to talk to some of those same people.

I may be dead wrong on this, but from the response to the first BHZ Awards, maybe that would help revive interest in the boards. It's a big thing, something everyone has a chance to be involved in, and creates excitement. I'd also love to see one final hurrah for Member Survivor. I know it's hard trouble getting rolling the last few times, but if Depressio was on board, that could really spark interest. Nothing on this board will ever be more exciting to me than those first few Survivors...

I can remember how my computer went down (I think) for good during MS1.  I lost.

Well put. Sure, those may have been the glory days, but they've come and gone. It's nobody's fault (Darn you, nobody!!), it's just how thing evolve. But, I think it's a good thing. After almost 5 years, we finally have a place of comfort, rather than a competitive and busy forum we once had, and we all can finally just enjoy each other's company.

Once again, I'd love to do the forum awards again, and hopefully annually. I missed out the first time, and I heard it was great. As for MS, I don't know. It only really works when several are interested. Also, I don't want all of the burden to be put on Depressio. However, if both if these factors work in our favor, I'm also all for another Survivor.

I didn't realize just how few people have been coming here when I posted about Survivor. I've been watching carefully, and I haven't seen more than four members online since back in the day. While I'd love to play one last one for the ages, it's not plausible with so few members regularly showing up.

Yeah, Depressio's tried a few times since MSX (the last one you were in if I'm not mistaken, The Chort) and while they have taken off the ground, I think the general consensus has been there haven't been as many people as he would've liked. Plus, now in college, I really don't know if I'll be able to participate in any anymore myself. Still, it's up to The Human Sash to make the call.

Well, guys, the HRwiki forums turned to crap earlier this year when they banned all off-topic discussion, so we might have a bit of room to muscle our way back into the spotlight.

IMO, I think we have always been one step ahead of the H*R wiki....

Yeah, but for a while weren't they pretty popular? I remember going on there and seeing members I recognized from other sites that weren't even Homestar-related.
