I have looked at Weebl and Bob, and I have had this strange feeling that it competes with Homestar. Weebl fans have been more quick to compare than Homestar fans. However, they're two very different series, considering that most Weebl lovers are in the UK and prefer it to Homestar, while the Homestar fans in North America are vise versa. Here's a pretty ironic episode. htt-p://www.weebls-stuff.com/wab/email/ <--- link disabled with a "-" since it might contain some swears.

Eh, I don't think H*R fans have anything to worry about. Weebl and Bob has been around for years, and it's nowhere near as good as H*R.

Weebl and Bob are targeted more for a more adult audience. More crude and stupid jokes. Of course, it's not as good as Homestar Runner. H*R is more targeted for a general audience. In ESRB's terms, H*R would be rated E10+ and Weebl and Bob would be T.

Wait, because it's mature it can't be as good as Homestar?
Also: Weebl and Bob rocks your face off.

We have "nothing to worry about?" It's not a competition.
I prefer HSR more overall, but weebl and bob is not bad at all.

I've seen Weebl and Bob, it's pretty goods. I just meant that it has a little less general audience. Maybe I'm just being too over analytical.

Well Homestar Runner can be for anyone. Although it may be targeted for younger audiences, practically any age can enjoy it.

There's no way homestar's targeted at younger audiences. unless by "younger" you mean like... college kids in their early twenties?

Nonononono. The Weebl thing is for blokes in their early twenties -- perhaps 18+. The Homestar thing is like, for 11-year-olds and up. The word "crap" has been used in family movies now, as of late. In the weebl cartoons, you got sex, gore, all swears, drugs, death, laughing at people's misfortunes, etc. Homestar has one swear, a euphemism for beer, very mild sexual attraction, and a scene with small amounts of blood about once in two years. That's really not a lot.

I'm pretty sure Homestar was targeted for college kids. It just happens to be clean. And Strong Bad laughs at peoples misfortunes all the time.

Yeah! Infact, the Brothers Chaps were actually SURPRISED that "the littlest of babies" really like Homestar Runner, too! That's about the time Strong Bad lost some of "his edge". No more birds, or near-swears! Strong Sad: "He's waaaay overdue!"

Homestar and Weebl are in leagues of their own, but both are among the greatest produced flash series' on the interwebs.
What makes Homestar so great is the quality of the humor it produces while remaining surprisingly clean.
Weebl (both Weebl & Bob and Weebl's other series and productions) encompasses a different brand of humor, combined with amazing animation and production.
I've always given the Weebl team a nod over TBC in terms of production quality ... look at how fluid the motion is on Weebl's work compared to Homestar.
In short, they both earn great prize.

All I know is I discovered and enjoyed both in third grade. Obviously Homestar Runner is my favorite, but Weebl's still pretty great.
