Flash Problem (or something)

So, there was this blackout in my house today, see, and when power came back, I noticed something weird...

"Firefox broke" is the short version. Now I can no longer watch youtube movies, go on homestar, or view anything the appears to use flash. But everything works fine in Internet Explorer (at least as fine as it can get with IE...). I've done all I can do to fix this...

-Updated firefox
-Updated flash
-Updated java
-Downdated flash
-System Restored to 2 different dates
-Rebooted (Yeah, that would do it...)

I have nowhere else to turn. Any suggestions?

Freaky... That same thing happened to me very recently, but not after a blackout. I don't know if this was the same condition for me as it is for you, because I could view .swf but not .flv
