Well, I guess it isn't a sport, but there's no "activities" section here.
I was wondering if anyone here does or did any type of competitive debate (Policy, Parli, LD, PFD, etc.).
I, myself, am in my second year, and I had a 10-6 novice record. In LD, I qualified for NCFL nationals in Houston.
This year's policy topic-
Resolved: The United States Federal Government should substantially increase its public health assistance in Sub-Saharan Africa.

I avoid debate class because it requires WAY too much outside of class participation, and I get enough of that from band.

Took a debate class in college. I totally owned the person I was going up against. We debated whether or not the Patriot Act was infringing on the Constitutional Rights of American citizens. I was on the side of, "No it does not."

Yep. I went to State Fair a bunch of school do debates. It was boring. I drew a picture of my character Inyl like I always do.

Haha. We stopped going to state fair debates after last year, and as another friend told me TD1, those debates were not good quality.  |

Yes. And we were supposed to flow all of it. But they were talking really fast... I hate how they do that.
