Yeah, I also think that he pushed the Batman voice a little too hard.

As of this writing, this movie is ranked #1 on the IMDb top 250 films ever made.  Shocked

I doubt it will last, though. I remember Wall-E was in the top 5 when it first came out.

That's probably a bunch of people giving it 10s before they see it. I would never do that.

I saw it before I gave it a 10.

This will be the first time I've gone to a movie on opening night since the Lord of the Rings.

I am stoked.
I guess I should quit banking on things happening as a given.

My friends were surprisingly unenthusiastic. Hopefully we'll go see it tomorrow.

Oh lawd, I just heard something funny.

If anyone watches Batman within the next few days, just as the movie is starting, say,

"Hey! This isn't Mamma Mia!"

I definitely didn't want my money back. I just got back from seeing the film in IMAX (which I highly recommend).

The Dark Knight is the second best comic book-based movie I've ever seen. Not quite up to the level of Iron Man, but I was thoroughly entertained despite how long the film was.
Heath Ledger's performance was scary good. And he nailed the Joker laugh perfectly.  Grin

The only thing holding the film back was Batman's ridiculous Bat-voice. Sounds like he's been playing a little too much MGS4. It was really hard to take him seriously with that Solid Snake voice.

Man, this is pretty much my exact experience. Although I actually think this movie was better than Iron Man (but I prefer Iron Man)

AMAZING.

The only thing I'm not sure I like is the new Joker design. Yeah, it's more realistic and disturbing, but he looked a little too much like Beetlejuice to me.

That being said, Heath Ledger absolutely stole the show. In a good way.

First Hour or so:  Cheesy

Whenever Joker was on the scene: Grin

After the first hour:

Rest of the movie:

After the credits rolled, still in seat:

Seriously, one of the best movies I've seen. First hour or so was just as good as the first, but from then on, the quality ramped up to heights that can only be described with amazement and astonishment.

XD

How did I not notice that?
But despite my initial criticism of Joker's appearance (and his similarities to Beetlejuice), I thought that it was very well done in the movie. As he does crazier things, his makeup gets more messed up and kinda looks like an infection eventually. Pretty cool.

Batman got arrested.

No, that's not a movie spoiler. Christian Bale got arrested.

I just saw it in IMAX and that was perfect. Possibly the best summer movie I've ever seen.

There's no concrete evidence of what actually happened (yet], but based on what I've read this reeks of "family members trying to mooch off of rich family members".

WOW

I just saw the movie and I was blown away. There are like, 25 great action scenes, each lasting 15 minutes!

Ok, so it's not that much, but that's what it seemed like. Excellent performances from everyone, with the Joker taking top spot.

SPOILER TIME: I'm kinda wondering how exactly the Joker rigged the hospital with that much explosives in such a short time. I mean, I know he has resources, but that was a big boom. And no one noticed them being set up? If they say so...

So, villains for the next one? Penguin and Riddler would be a good choice. Could get The League of Shadows from the first one to come back.

I'm gonna go take a nap now... *woozes away*

I don't want another one. I know that's not gonna stop them from making another one, but there's no topping this one.

I have yet to find a Threequel that is worth my time. In movies, anyway.

EDIT: Let me redeem myself there. Momentarily forgot a few great movies. I have yet to find a threequel in the last ten years that is worth my time.
