If you have a GSM Razr, it operates on a different kind of network than a CDMA Razr. You could use your GSM Razr in Europe (if you had the right kind of plan), but a CDMA Razr isn't compatible and would not get service. The kind you can get depends on your carrier.
GSM Razr, CDMA Razr...yeah, you're speaking Greek to me. What does "GSM" and "CDMA" mean?

GSM/CDMA is the type of technology the cell phone uses to send/recieve calls and data.
GSM is a worldwide technology, while CDMA is mostly a US only technology and is becoming outdated. When Cingular took over AT&T Wireless originally, they pumped MILLIONS of dollars into changing from the CDMA network to a GSM network. It screwed over a ton of customers while the switch was happening, but it helped them out in the long run since the other carriers are more than likely going to have to switch anyway.
GSM Carriers: AT&T/Cingular T-Mobile
CDMA Carriers: Verizon Sprint Cricket
The Razr's were made specifically for GSM networks. However, once they became a huge success, they were ported over to the other CDMA carriers. This also caused many bugs in them due to the changes having to be made in the phone's technology.
As for where I work, I also work at RadioShack. Going on a year next month, and trust me I know my stuff. My manager has already told me that when I turn 18 he is automatically giving me keys to the store and putting me in the MiT(Manager-in-Training) program.

Ah. Well, congrats. I just go off what my brother-in-law tells me. He worked at a Radioshack part-time in this area for like 3-4 years up until about a month and a half ago. I don't know if he was ever approached to enter the MIT program, because he has a full-time job with a health insurance company. I don't doubt what you say, I just know my bro-in-law better, so I trust him more. No offense.
